It's a huge step forward from the worst remote ever created
4/5

The Apple TV's original remote is, without a doubt, the worst remote ever made. I couldn't tell which way was up in a dark room, and the track pad was terrible. As a result, I was willing to pay the exorbitant price (thank you, Apple) for a better version. And it's a huge improvement, much more tactile, thanks to the smaller track pad and circular control. However, I'm not sure why the mute button is on the bottom of the phone. Because it is the most accessible, that is where the play button should have been. However, despite the fact that it is easily overpriced by 2x, it may be worth your money.

2021 - In my opinion, this is a typical remote control
5/5

The first thing I did was connect the device to my Apple high-definition television. charger for high-speed; I think I waited for about 30 minutes. After that, everything started to come to life, and pairing with the Apple 4k (2017) unit was as simple as holding the remote one foot (30. (Like every other remote on the planet, it's 48 cm) away from the unit, waiting for the magic to happen. If you're having issues, double-check your Apple streaming unit's settings. It could be a Bluetooth feature or a keyboard trick (I have no idea). br>Always keep in mind: It's a man-made object. made-to-order item It's possible that you'll need to enlist the help of a woman (daughter, niece) to solve the problem. In most cases, Bluetooth headphones and keyboards can control the Apple device - So don't get too worked up about the remote. br>I hope that this information is useful.

It's as simple as peeling an apple
5/5

I have the Apple 4K TV 1st Generation, which has served me well in our living room thus far. The remote was responsible for some of the aches and pains I've experienced over the years. It wasn't the worst remote I've ever had, but it certainly wasn't the best. When I learned that a newer remote had been released, I decided to give it a try to see if it was any better. Overall, I'm pleased with my decision to replace my old remote with a newer one. br>br>Overall, I like the way this remote feels. In my hand, the remote is a little bigger (which I like). It has a very solid build quality and an Apple feel to it. Now that the direction buttons are positioned around the click pad, I really like it. One thing I always disliked about the previous generation of the remote was that it made my thumb feel like it was on an ice rink, and there was sometimes lag between the remote and the Apple TV. Since upgrading the remote, I haven't had any issues. It's also cool that instead of being a menu to put the Apple TV to sleep, it has a power button in the upper right corner of the remote. br>br>Incredibly simple to set up. I took a position near the Apple TV. I pressed and held the Back and Volume Up buttons for 2 seconds, and then it was done. My older remote was no longer paired, and the newer remote was ready to use. br>br>It's a shame that the previous Apple TV remote was a pain to use and that you had to upgrade to the newer one. I still don't see why you'd want to upgrade to the newer Apple TV, so I think this is a better buy right now.

They had finally figured out how to fix their remote! In my opinion, the previous version "touch" remote for Apple TV (the one with all black buttons) was a complete failure
5/5

It was one of my least favorite things. You'd frequently activate a function simply by picking it up. In the dim light, it was difficult to tell which way was up. The touch screen was overly sensitive, which was a disaster. This new remote, thankfully, is compatible with Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD models from previous generations. br>br>This remote is fantastic.

Remote Control has been greatly improved
5/5

With the older black remote, I have an Apple TV 4K. I wanted to try the new one because I found the old one's trackpad to be extremely frustrating. This is fantastic! The new navigation buttons are clickable, which improves precision, and I still have the option to swipe.

Purchases should be avoided at all costs

This product is so bad, I can't believe it. This is the most dreadful apple product ever created. I really like Apple products, but I'm sorry I threw away the box because I can't believe how stupid these remotes are. Thank goodness I was able to keep my old one. Let me begin by saying that I am baffled as to how Apple came up with this incomprehensible remote control. For instance, let's say I go to YouTube. It's great that the old remote starts with the home page. The new remote picks up where the old one left off, so you'll have to go back to the search function to find what you're looking for. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, and it happens on every channel. dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb stupid What causes this to happen? Because I have no idea, the new features are of no use to me. Has anyone tried this new unit and said, "Wow, this is so much better than the old one. " Yes, he's a complete moron. You won't get any help from Siri, so good luck if you think that'll be the case. You're getting ripped off if you buy the new Apple TV right now. Unlike the one I have, you'll have a terrible Apple TV experience. It's fantastic with my Apple TV because everything works like magic, except for when you're moving the movie back and forth. When I bought the new remote, I assumed I'd get something like this. If someone at Apple used the older remote, they'd realize that was the only disadvantage. The new remote, on the other hand, ruins your Apple TV experience, and I would not recommend this product to anyone. I own all of Apple's products, so I know exactly what I'm talking about. My only hope is that someone in this division at Apple will be fired, and the new guy will fix the software issue, allowing me to use my new remote. This product is so bad, I can't believe it.

The new Siri remote is a fantastic upgrade to the old one
5/5

I'm glad Apple has released this new version. It addresses the following two major flaws in the previous version:

- Proper size: the previous version was too small and didn't fit well in my hand; this one feels more natural to hold and is thick enough to avoid getting caught in my couch cushion (at least not as often). br>- Control with greater precision: I like how the track pad (for faster scrolling) and the directional controls (for more precise scrolling, such as skipping commercials on recorded programs) are combined. It was very simple to pair. br>br>It was a good combination. br>br>In terms of pairing, it was very simple. In less than two seconds, the system recognized the new device and disconnected the old one.
