Questions & Answers

Is there any difference between the original firestick and the 4K version? Could you tell me what other resolutions are available (other than 4K)?

In my own experience, I like the original Firestick extremely well, but I'm upgrading to the 4K model. My sister and I were able to set up her 4K TV and I immediately noticed the There's a lot more contrast and clarity in the picture and color. It is easier and faster to set up applications on the 4K. Having a volume button makes it unnecessary to have two remote controls, and I can make do with just one. The 4K has 8 GB of storage, which is an incredible feat! I chose the 4K over the 1080 simply because I liked the picture quality better. In the original, there is 5Gs of RAM and I have to clear my cache constantly.

Can you tell me how this is set up?

There is no doubt that Fire TV Stick 4K is an improvement over previous models
5/5

Improve your system! Launch day was the day on which I received the Fire TV Stick 4K. The previous model I own is much better than the current model. Aside from the remote, a lot of improvements have been made to the game. I can turn the TV, my receiver, and my fire stick on and switch the inputs automatically with the power button on the remote, so the fire stick appears on the screen and is ready to go with just one click. That is amazing. It should have been like this since the beginning. The best part is yet to come. What happens if I already have my TV on and I have my receiver set to a different input such as my FiOS TV have to do is press the home button on your remote and the receiver will switch to the right HDMI connection for the Fire Stick! All your remote controls are in one place, and yes, you can easily control the volume of your receiver, I think this The product can be configured in a variety of ways. It is fairly easy to set up. After you press the power and home buttons, they select which inputs get selected. A volume button allows you to select the device that it controls. Despite the Fire Stick 4K's shortcomings, Amazon has done a great job. The latest fire stick is quicker than previous ones. Now there are no more lags in the menu. In general, things seem to be running more smoothly and faster. A Roku, Chromecast Ultra, and a Fire Stick were all used by me. Each one of them appeals to me in different ways. Moreover, Chromecast is a pain to use for 5 reasons. Due to Chromecast's refusal to support Dolby Digital or DTS 5, the audio from 1 won't work on my receiver. DD5 has no problem being handled by Fire Stick. I am much more likely to enjoy watching movies and shows on Netflix and Plex. There is an advantage to having a remote (chromecast) rather than not having one. As well as Roku, it is a very nice device. three options are wonderful in their own way, and, frankly, at first I thought I preferred Fire Stick the least, but I have since come to appreciate that I like it most, so I purchased it before I even had the chance to see it. With the 4K fire stick I am extremely happy with my purchase. I urge Amazon to keep doing what it is doing well. This product is an excellent upgrade from its predecessor as well as a solid product.

Although the app environment is fascist, it is otherwise useful
3/5

As someone who was looking forward to the launch of the new FireTV Stick with its cutting-edge technology and high processing power, I was really excited. The game has that, but I've noticed a couple of bugs and game breaking issues. 1) The Amazon platform is basically retooled Android, which is a poor user The home screen is excessively cluttered, redundant, and Amazon wants you to use all of their services over everyone else's. So not only is the menu in the way, but the top third of the page is taken up by promotions for whatever they are trying Also, since it's Amazon, they want you to use THEIR streaming service to watch movies so they don't offer Vudu or Google Play as an option. Prime Video would be less of a hassle for me if it offered a decent selection of rentals (it doesn't) or if it offered a half-way usable interface (it does not).

3) Our FireTV Stick has issues with flickering and audio dropouts. After immediately telling me that there was no problem, tech support was unable to help. Is there another TV that you can try? Then I tried a different HDMI port?" Even though my Roku worked perfectly, I opted to return this since I was already tired of the closed interface and awful menu. There is also an issue of being unable to completely turn off HDR, which is a little less annoying but still unsatisfactory. For now, I'm happy with my Roku Stick despite not having excellent HDR support - either it is always on or it is adaptive, so content dictates the use of HDR. This presents a problem with Netflix (which is calibrated too dark on some TVs). The following update has been made to my review I. - After my review, they contacted me to see what additional feedback I had to offer and to offer additional support. That's actually quite significant nowadays. I will keep an eye out for potential Now that I have a new TV, HDR looks really good on it, so this is an improvement over what I had with the old However, there is still the issue of not being able to turn OFF the HDR light entirely if needed. Now that I can use Alexa to select the TV input, I really like this smart controls feature. I. - Although I can watch VUDU/UV movies through the new television, I still have sound dropouts

However, I have a big problem with not being able to view them via the new television. The movies you watch online on MoviesAnywhere don't tell you which ones were transcoded In the case of certain films (e. g. Deadpool 2), you will only receive the HD version of the film and not the UHD/HDR version. This will prevent me from giving more than three stars until this is fixed.

DirecTV Now is not compatible with this service
3/5

We are using DirecTV Now as our main streaming service, and this stick does not support it. It seems like the app is working, but it freezes after a short period. As soon as I try to run a speed test, the connection is slow, but then gradually ramps up to full speed over time. There is an issue with the stick when using the app. We plan to use Gen 2 and Gen 3 devices as usual, but not the app we use the most. We will return and continue to use them. We're sorry to hear that. A NEW UPDATE My solution was to delete DirecTV Now and install it again from scratch. I actually think I will revise my rating because things have been going well for the past three days. I then tried to catch a little football on Sunday. Over and over again, CBS froze and caused the app to Rather than trying to solve problems, I would wait for them to resolve themselves.
