Questions & Answers

Where is the difference between the original Firestick and the 4K Firestick? Could you elaborate on the 4K res (other than the picture quality)?

I love the original Firestick, but I will upgrade to the 4K because I see how good it is. set up my sister's 4K as a favor to my sister and noticed the benefits instantly. Compared to the original, the picture and colors appear to be much clearer and crisper. On the 4K, setting up applications is faster and more seamless. Besides the 4K, there is also a volume button which makes it unnecessary to have two remote controls. The best part is that the 4k has 8 GB of storage The fact that I was able to upgrade to 4K was enough to convince I'm always clearing the cache of the original since it has 5Gs and I've always been using it.

Could this be used on any TV other than a 4K set?

As far as free 4K shows, there aren't many available right now. Yes, I use it on a 1080p TV. There are many 4K movies and shows on Net Flix.

What type of TV do you have to have?

The TV I have is a 1080p TV and the Firestick I have is Getting my hands on a 4K was a bit of a hassle, but it all works fine now It has more RAM and a faster processor (although it has the same 8Gb internal storage for apps as the regular Fire TV Stick).

Selected User Reviews For Fire TV Stick 4K streaming device with Alexa Voice Remote (includes TV controls) | Dolby Vision

Compared to the previous Fire TV Stick, the 4K Fire TV Stick You should upgrade! It was a pleasure receiving the Fire TV Stick 4K when it was first released
5/5

The experience with this model is much better than the previous one. On top of that, the remote is a great One click of the power button on the remote turns on the tv, my receiver, and my fire stick and switches the inputs automatically, so my fire stick appears on the screen and I have it ready to go in no time. Isn't this just how things should have been? This is what we all should have had. But it gets even better from there. Say my TV is already on and I have my receiver plugged into my FIOS TV box. Is the receiver set to the TV input or another input? The only action required is to click the home button on the remote for the receiver and it will switch to the correct HDMI input on the receiver for the Fire Stick! There is only one remote to rule them all and yes it controls the volume of the receiver as well! Exactly what I was looking for. There is a great deal of flexibility with this product. This setup is quite nice, and you can choose which inputs to pick when you hit the power and home buttons. It is possible to specify which device is controlled by the volume buttons. Fire Stick 4K has been a great product from Amazon. Compared to previous fire sticks, it is faster. Lags in menus are no longer an issue. Overall, there has been an increase in smoothness and speed. As well as Roku, Chromecast Ultra, and Fire Stick, I have also used other streaming devices. Each of them has something I like about it. Chromecast is also a no-go for me due to its Due to Chromecast's refusal to support Dolby Digital or DTS 5, I am unable to play X1 audio on my receiver. DD5 has no problem being handled by Fire Stick. As a result, I'm having a much better experience with both Netflix and Plex. Having the remote instead of not having a remote is better than not having one. As well as Rokus, they are very nice. I know all three of these options are good in their own way, but honestly, I had previously thought the Firestick was the least desired option, but I have suddenly come to prefer it, so I've ordered one. I just received my 4K fire stick and I couldn't be more pleased. We need Amazon to keep doing what it's doing right. I found the 4K stick to be a solid product, and a considerable improvement over.

It has a fascist application environment, but its feature set is useful in its own right
3/5

Let me tell you, I was so excited when the new FireTV Stick was released with its cutting-edge technology and great I have found that it does have that, but I have a couple of bugs with it. 2) The Amazon platform is basically a retooled version of Android, which has a terrible user The home screen has a cluttered look, redundant information, and Amazon just wants you to use everything they offer over everyone else's, which is why not just the menu gets in the way, but the top third of the screen is dedicated to promotions for whatever they want you to buy. Secondly, because it's Amazon they want to make sure you use THEIR streaming services to rent movies so much so that you can't install Vudu or Google Play. Would I have a less serious problem if Prime Video offered a decent selection of rentals (it does not) or if the interface was even half usable (it is not). 3) We are experiencing problems with flickering and sound dropouts on our FireTV Stick. A series of less than helpful troubleshooting tips were immediately provided by technical support. Is there any other TV you can try? Even though I had never experienced a problem with a different HDMI port on my Roku. I decided to return this since I had already had enough of their closed interface and awful There is also the issue of not being able to turn off HDR completely, which is less of an issue, but still annoying. I'm more satisfied with my Roku Stick, despite having less robust HDR support, rather than the Always-on or Adaptive channels. Especially with Netflix (which is calibrated too dark on some TVs), this is a problem. The following are the changes I have made to my review Please note
Following my review, Amazon contacted me to ask for more feedback and offer more support. I might not have thought it was important until now, but it does mean a lot in My attention will continue to be drawn to any problems that may occur
- As a result of the upgrade, I have been able to resolve the HDR problem since it looks great on this new However, there is still a problem with not being able to disable HDR completely if necessary
- I like the smart control feature. Now I can use Alexa to switch the input on my TV. Please note
Although the new TV does not flicker, the sound still drops out

My other complaint is that there is no way to watch VUDU/UV movies. Secondly, MoviesAnywhere does not seem to be able to tell you which movies are In this case, the titles may sync, but in some cases (for instance Deadpool 2) you will only have access to the HD version and not the UHD/HDR one. As long as I can't keep it up, I'm leaving this review at 3 stars instead.

The DirecTV Now app does not work with this product
3/5

DirecTV Now is the service we use most, and this stick doesn't work with it. I appear to be able to run the app, but then it stops working. My internet connection spikes when I go to run a speed test, and then weavers back to full speed after some time. There are some oddities happening with the app, as though it It seems like most other things are working properly, but it seems like the app we use the most does not. Will return and continue to use Gen 2 and Gen This is a shame. A NEW UPDATE In my case, I installed DirecTV Now again after deleting it. Things have actually been working well for the past three days, so I thought about After that, I watched a bit of football on Sunday. Over and over again, CBS would freeze, causing the app to In my opinion, I'd wait for the problem to go away on its own.
