Questions & Answers

Can you please tell me which is better, 4K or ?

A noticeable difference exists between the 3rd gen and the 4K user interface. In addition to the design flaw of the 4K, the 3rd gen has the same flaw in multitasking Unlike stereo speaker setups, it actually sends stereo content to the receiver as 5 channels. It is a "wrapper" that the receiver cannot use, such as The Dolby ProLogic System You can workaround the problem by setting "Surround Sound" to "Dolby Digital," but this has the downside of downgrading Dolby Digital Plus content to the lower-quality "Dolby Digital." This format maintains the fidelity of the original. It has been known about this vulnerability since at least the end of 2018. However, Amazon purposefully included it into its newest

Is there anything else attached to ?

There is a Fire Stick, a HDMI extender, a USB cord, an adapter, a remote, and more A lithium battery and a rechargeable battery.

Does this support 4K or HDR on this model or will that need to wait for the next generation model?

It is better to use the third generation. Although it is beautiful, 4k, and runs Android 7, it doesn't actually run quite as well as it does at 4k. This OS runs on one device. With the newer Firesticks running Android 9, the third version runs Android There is actually a lot more security and a better version of Android provided by it. All 3rd gen and above would be a great choice for me.

Would this be a 3rd gen 4K display, or a HD display only?

As a matter of fact, most 4K televisions are not true 4K.

Selected User Reviews For Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) with Alexa Voice Remote (includes TV controls) + Star Wars The Mandalorian remote cover (Bounty Blue)

I am switching from FireTV to Roku after years of using it
3/5

I dislike the interface after the update for the following reasons a) Content from 100 different subscription services is mixed. I therefore see content that is available on Hulu or HBO even if I do not subscribe to the services. There are a lot of things that are only available on Prime for free right 1) The IMDB video is irritating. But Amazon says I must watch ads even though I do not want to. Video from IMDB has been filling up my feed even when I have no interest 2) The content available on Prime Video was free, but Amazon moved it to IMDB so I need In this case, the value of the Amazon Prime membership was reduced. *
4) Amazon recently began rejecting items that did not qualify We have independent content creators providing fiction content. I'm not even sure how many bigfoot, UFO, fitness videos and independent documentaries I watched on Prime over the years. Now they have removed much of that from free for Prime and are refusing to allow people to submit any more non-commercial films. Currently, there is no fiction content available. 5) I got Roku yesterday and the picture is actually better now that I have it.
6) The Prime Video app on Roku is actually more navigable and has more Free for Prime content than.

I got it right on my second try
4/5

I attempted to get to work multiple times and spoke to customer support over the phone for several hours but it wasn't working. The screen appeared to work for a short time, but then it would go blank and no sound would come through. The chat support service provided by Customer Support was one of the most frustrating services I have ever experienced. Here's an update. A customer service representative from Amazon customer service in Seattle contacted me shortly after I posted this review. They made arrangements to talk with me when I got home and asked me to try a few basic configurations with the fire stick but none of them A new stick was sent, which was received a short time later. I was able to set it up and configure it within minutes and it After I had received the notification that I had received the item, James followed up to ensure it was in working order.

The third-generation Fire TV Stick comes with the third-generation Alexa remote
5/5

With the 3rd Generation FireTV Stick, you can control your applications and TV experience more conveniently with the 3rd Generation Alexa Voice Remote. As I have been using it with my FireTV Cube, I reviewed the new Alexa Voice Remote 3rd Generation that was recently released. In the current scenario it appears that the FireTV Stick 3rd Generation is the only device that ships with the new remote. The Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV Cube are all The pros are Speed

In my opinion, the upgrade is most noticeable if you are coming from a 2nd generation device, because there is a mention that the 3rd generation phone is "50% more powerful. " You can clearly notice the difference when I think this is the most compelling reason to switch from Gen 2 to Gen 3. DOLBY ATMOS - This may not seem like a big deal to many people, but support for the Dolby Atmos standard is nice for audiophiles with home speaker systems capable of using In my review of the new remote, I noted that the main enhancement is the "Channel Guide" button, which will bring up a menu for watching live TV if it is enabled Additionally, there are four icons for each App We were able to launch Netflix, Disney Plus, and Hulu quickly. In addition to that, you can also operate your TV with the remote using power and volume buttons that are not available on the FireTV Stick Lite. *CONS The following rules do not apply to 4K If you want 4K video streaming, there is a FireTV Stick 4K that exists, but this version does not support it. I wouldn't expect that to change in the future either, since there is a FireTV Stick 4K product that does support 4K video streaming. While you can order FireTV Stick 4K with the new 2nd generation Alexa Voice Remote for right now, it still ships with old 2nd generation Alexa Voice Remote (one with TV power button but no app button or channel guide button). For those reasons, I'm kind of disappointed. The new FireTV Stick feels worth the upgrade from the old stick, mainly due to the faster performance, but it would also be nice to have a newer remote. Users who are especially concerned about 4K might want to wait until they release the new 4K Stick with the Although the Lite version is only $10 less than the Pro version, it doesn't seem worth it in most situations since it loses all of the TV controls (power, volume, channel guide, app buttons, etc) for only $10 less.
