Questions & Answers

Would this receiver work with a D-12 from Direct TV?

Thanks for reaching out to me, In addition to receiver models D10, D11, D12, H20, HR20, H21, HR22, HR23, H24 and HR24, the KING Quest is also compatible with receiver models H24 and There are no compatibility issues between this antenna and SWM Currently, only receivers (like the model H25 and HR25) are available. I hope that helped!

What is the maximum number of receivers that one satellite can handle?

There is no limit to the number of receivers you can run

Whether or not the King Quest VQ4100 will be able to receive satellite 101 signals from anywhere in the US?

Having said that, we're in Texas and we're receiving satellite 101, but I don't know if the rest of the country is receiving it. The local and national channels, ABC, CBS, or NBC, cannot be received. Upon calling King quest, we find out that those are on satellite 119 which we are unable to receive. In the process, we would have had to buy another gadget for $80 and attach it to the satellite. As of now, we have opted not to do so.

Do you know if I can use this antenna on a boat for Directv? There is no need to describe it Are you positioned? Can it detect satellites in South America? I want to use it in this region. ?

It is important to mount the antenna on a stable platform if it is to operate properly. There would be too much instability on a boat. Even if it did work, South America would be a very strange place.

The new AT&T TV company (DirectTV) is here
3/5

I tried it and it did not work! It was a very disappointing experience. Now that DirectTV is part of AT&T Just a minute ago, T was An H25 receiver was utilized by him. Despite rotating the dish, it never showed a signal when tested against the 101 satellite. The dish was pointed with an unobstructed view of the satellite, which received no signal when tested. As far as the hook-ups are concerned, everything checked out. However, the signal would not get through. There is no customer service available for Being Sunday King right now. The DirectTV installation took weeks to complete. I finally took off for a week and DirectTV arrived. Sorry to hear that. There is a $500 dollar extra quick mount kit and a $86 extra quick mount kit. This cost me over $1,000 and my time to put in drilling holes in my RV roof for what was supposed to be a simple hook up that was not going to happen. My next visit to King will be to see how their customer service is. It might be a good idea to send it all I hate it! Here's an update! As DirectTV had an H25 receiver, King tech support should know it was a SWM receiver since DirectTV had an H25 In that case it would need a SWM8 kit, which DirectTV was supposed to provide. I asked the installer why DirectTV would not do hookups unless it was a permanent residence, and BTW he said it was because his supervisor told him not to do it! Then I told him that I have a mailing address here at this RV park. In addition, even if it worked it would not be in any form of HD! During my return of the DirectTV King VQ4800 today, Amazon customer support was just wonderful as always! A DISH KING VQ4510 Tailgater Bundle is on its way to me I'll be providing you with a portable satellite TV antenna and a Dish HD Solo VIP 211Z receiver I find DISH to be a 100% better company to deal with. It gives me more than 100 HD channels, and I don't even need them to come to my house to install! Therefore, our advice to you is to STAY AWAY FROM DIRECT TV at all costs!.

In the review, the local channels of the QUEST VQ4100 were explained
5/5

I love it! The experience of setting up my tripod dish and putting it away each day while camping was quite tedious. Thus, I decided to get the King Quest to make my set-ups a lot easier. I am able to receive all of my programming along with local channels using this dish. It's now a snap to set this up. All you have to do is set up the portable dish outdoors and turn it on, and you are ready to go! It will take just a few minutes for you to have TV. I have lost HD programming, but I can live without it when I am in my RV. This loss of HD is not the fault of the manufacturers of those dishes, but rather a problem with how DirecTV delivers its signals. To have HD with DirectTV you must purchase a Winegard Traveler dish, which will cost more than a grand more than this dish and it will have to be permanently mounted on the RV's roof. Since I camp in a wooded area, I did not want to use a permanently mounted dish because there were many trees. With dish network, you can use this model, but you must purchase the King UC1000 universal controller for less than a hundred dollars in order for it to work. To help you better comprehend why some people are able to watch local channels and some people are not, I'd like to explain how local channels work. You can search the internet with your google machine and find listings of the local channels that are available on the 101 satellite and those that are available on the 119 satellite. It appears that the larger markets are on the 101 while the smaller markets are on the You should check ahead of time which satellite your locals are on so you know what channel you should watch. There will be no need to purchase the King UC1000 universal controller if your locals are on the 101 satellite, on the other hand, you need to purchase the King UC1000 universal controller if they are on the 119 satellite. A dish equipped with the UC1000 can transmit from both the 101 and 119 satellites at the same time. The following information may help you to understand local programming and maybe you won't have to spend as much time researching the channels I did before I bought the King Quest.
In addition to locals in larger markets, the 101 satellite offers channels 100 through 400 and 500 through channel includes premium movie channels such as HBO and Showtime, as well as some other channels. Channel 119 provides local programming from smaller markets and some channels from the 400's. For those of you with a similar lifestyle, or for me, you won't need any of the channels in the 400s. Therefore, I have no need for the ability to access the 119 satellite since my locals are on the 101 satellite. If you have Dish Network and want to change providers, you will need As I mentioned earlier, one of the main reasons I selected the King Quest was that I now have the flexibility to change from DirecTV to Dish Network upon changing my satellite provider. My purchase couldn't have been any better. I am really pleased with it.

It was a real disappointment! These satellites have always been a favorite of mine
3/5

A couple of my family members have experienced it and I have too. A few years ago, I used one. A model from an earlier generation. There was a problem with it. This model met my needs, so I ordered it. There is only one king. We made the decision to go with the newer model. It turned out to be a mistake. The number of times I go without signal is greater than the number of times I get In order for it even to get to look at all, I have to unplug and plug it back in repeatedly. It will then focus on something that I assume isn't the correct satellite more often than not. My current experience is that I have been trying to get signal for over an hour as I write this. This is the last time I'll buy it. My next brand switch is probably going to be another. In addition to its bad customer service, King has a poor reputation. Trying to reach them has never been of any use to me. We never get a return phone call from them, let alone get them to answer the phone.

You won't be able to handle it! King dish, I bought a tailgater
3/5

Once I had two of them repaired under warranty, and three more repaired in less than two years, I seriously doubted king would live up to my expectations. After switching to a 4100, I was hoping that it would be a better phone. OH MY GOD! I WAS In addition, the previous 2 lasted a total of 8 months, it seems they were not built to last in an RV, so I tried the 4800, after reading how much better they were. The first lasted 3 months, and the other The period of time is five Do they work when they're on duty? It's great to have them, but what happens when they go out of order? As the headache begins, it becomes unbearable. The fast, King support is hit or miss, mostly miss, when you call during "normal business hours", you will most likely be left a voicemail and have to Your service provider will tell you to contact King, so it is frustrating to call them. Have any of you used one? If so, how did it work? I love it.

This is going to be a low signal strength
4/5

to find that the signal strength was only 67% when I hooked this up. The downside is that this is marginal for my Wingard Sat antenna on my roof mount as well as for my home system, but King's tech support advises that this is normal for this satellite It was the perfect situation for me to get a signal, yet I only got this. It is likely that I would not receive a high enough signal to even view Direct TV programming if conditions were less than ideal. My opinion is that it is a poor design.
