The one I have cannot be adjusted for temperature In order to have good reception, I plug the dish in when there is ice or snow on it and then unplug it when it is The sun gets very hot and clears in a short period of time.
There is no problem using it with satellite dishes on the dish network.
It has been a great success that we have sold many of that specific dish! The Satellite Systems team appreciates your kind words, thanks
Mine has a power cord that measures 4 1/2 feet. Since the outlet was mounted on the roof, I had to extend the cable to use it.

The Hot Shot is better, but not quite as good. A few improvements could be made to this dish heater. switched from DirecTV to Dish TV recently and have been searching for a new dish heater ever since. My DirecTV dish had been equipped with the Hot Shot for several years before I decided to try the Ice Zapper. Among the pros This is 1. It is easy to apply the two heat strips to the back of the dish, and the area where the heat strips are located really heats up the dish. There are two places on the front of the dish where your fingers are almost too hot to touch. 2 *BR> It works as a heater of air conditioned air There is no transformer in the DC circuit Having this option sped up the installation process for me a lot. The cons are This is 1. In the attached photo, you can see the main problem is that the rest of the food did not get heated. It is necessary to increase the heater surface area of the Ice Zapper. 2 *BR> This product does not include an arm heater. Heat cable for water pipes made by Frost King. I am very happy with it. I have written a review of Hot Shot It is highly likely that I will write off this Ice Zapper and replace it with a second Hot Shot dish for Dish TV.
Since it hasn't snowed much since I got it, I can't give an in-depth review but the materials used in manufacturing this heating element seem to be top of the line. The cord and heating elements insulation are made from a high quality heat-resistant silicone After a couple of moderate snowfalls, where I had to go outside and clean the snow from the TV dish both times if I wanted to watch TV as on other snow days and nights before, I bought this. As soon as I have a chance to use it, I'll post an update.
I installed the Ice Zapper 2 in a matter of minutes. During recent snow, my phone struggled to maintain signal. I turned it on and it took just seconds to restore it. I'm looking forward to getting a better test this weekend when we get a good dump of snow and maybe freezing rain, but I expect it will work just fine. My installation is switched, so I don't have to plug it in manually. As I had been sweeping it off, my dish was at a location I could sweep, but now that HD is available, the dish has been moved because of large trees and therefore I can no longer sweep it. Would have been nice to have one of these before, this would have saved me from going outside to sweep in the elements. The ice storm we had this weekend was quite destructive. There was a signal, but standard definition was all I saw when I turned on the TV. As soon as I turned on the Ice Zapper 2, I got digital scramble, but between 1 and 2 minutes later, I had HD signal and had no problems since then.
It uses a little electricity yet packs a punch when it comes to melting The heater is also supplied with everything that is necessary for installation, down to the alcoholic swab to be used for cleaning the back of the dish to which it will be From 1 to 5, use this scale to indicate your level of satisfaction On a scale of 1-10, this is a 10.
He would often go out with a long pole with a brush mounted on it to clear snow from the dish (which is mounted 12 feet up on the roof). In order to power the heater, I plugged it into a remote outlet. In less than 2 minutes, Dad simply pushed a button to power on a receptacle for the heater, and the snow immediately melted, and satellite TV service began. Having peace of mind knowing that he is not out in the snow waving a 14-foot flag The man twisted the pole around over his head to remove the.
A power strip inside makes it easy to melt ice and snow!.
We used our first dish heater in more than 12 years, it worked well. As a result of the new dish, I bought a new Whenever you have heavy snow etc. , you can just flick the switch in the garage on. Snow will no longer accumulate on dishes after brushing it off outside. The price was well worth it.
To keep me from clearing my dish during a storm, I put this in my dish. This morning, 1/18/2020, there was a lot of snow which eventually turned to freezing rain, twice I had to clear the dish, which wasn't as good as the last time.
