High power handling, plug and play. One HT Receiver and one HT Transmitter. It was a Sony Bundle that I bought for my STR-V The DH590 home theatre is powered by a 5-inch screen. The system came with speakers that I wired to the receiver (don't forget to buy the wire!) and I turned it on to check if the speakers In this case, the Adding anti-vibration material under the speaker enclosures and tweaking the controls on the back of the subwoofer were all I had to do.
NOTICE The bundle has a subwoofer powered by a single amplifier, which is needed for the two If that information was printed on the box or instructions, you'd think it would be there. Trying to use the receiver with the 5 caused me to believe the receiver had a defect. One Pioneer speaker was replaced with this system by the SX315 model. It was all working, except of course for (Speaking of bass, the Pioneer could produce good levels without power). Customer Support at Sony told me that the STR-MS700 had problems, but the Tech was able to fix it A powered sublimation sub must be included in the DH590. Then he told me what speakers he could recommend. To be honest, I am glad I was unable to use the Pioneers' subwoofer. STR was maxed by one of my friends If we did the same with the DH590 volume, those 100 watt speakers would be toast!
This Speakers are the Sony SSCS8 (Center) and the SSCS5 (Pair) of Bookshelf Speakers, rated at 145 watts, and 10 inches are used for projection. This active subwoofer has a power source of its own (which of course has its own power) and automatic power up. have considered other combinations, and I wasn't able to beat this price for a 5x145w plus powered sub speaker set in Sony or any other brand.
My only con is that the black speaker cases look kind of plasticky. In comparison with wood (mostly faux) grain speakers offered by other manufacturers, these speakers are relatively inexpensive.

Great product. I love the sound of it. Setting up the system is simple.
