It was set up without any issues for me when I connected that cable (red white yellow) and plugged the power into the wall socket.

A DVD player like this one is perfect for someone like me who travels, since it plays DVDs from all zones and also copies them. I highly appreciate the ease of use and the ease of import/export.
This player did not work when I had it hooked up for the first time. My research revealed that I have to attach it through the video hook up for it to work. The HDMI hook up is not necessary. There were also flashing lights to indicate the status of the disc loading display. So at this point I decided to send the player back. To see if those lights were still flashing when I was packing it up to return it, I plugged it in again to see if they would continue to do so. My TV did not play a video when I hooked it up again through HDMI, so I disconnected it from my TV and plugged it in again. Because I have many DVDs that are in more than one region, I wanted to make sure this player would work. I tested it through the video hook up and it worked without flashing. The HDMI hookup would have been fine at this point since I already have other components hooked up to my TV so I went with the video hookup which works well. The picture quality and sound are excellent but since it is not HDMI I was only able to give it four stars. Despite my doubts concerning the reliability of the player, I have decided not to return it since the video option works well with it.
I think it is a good Several different region discs were tested and they worked just fine. I was able to setup the system easily and quickly It was a great movie with good picture quality and decent sound.
I'm glad to have it. We found the price to be very reasonable. It made a loud noise when I first tried it, but it stopped doing that once I started watching the DVDs. It was prayed over by me. I am now very glad at the fact that the noise has stopped! There is no doubt about the picture. I like the way it sounds. As far as the remote control is concerned, I have yet to figure out all the buttons. This BluRay however was a welcome surprise for me. First BluRay player for me, and it is so nice to watch some of the DVDs I have that I could not play on the other.
I am saddened by this, as I sent that Lonpoo DVD player 3,000 miles away to a beloved sister of mine. Then she finally said it to me even though she did not want to. She probably spent $6 per time she played a DVD in it, so it seemed cheap, but she probably spent that much per time playing a DVD. There was a problem with the remote controlling the device. Despite the fact that there wasn't an option for communication - I haven't contacted the seller. My computer just popped up a message informing me that it is too late to return the item or get any service.
It is connected to a wireless HDMI streamer at church so we can play videos on a projector. The solution works great!.
The reason I ordered this was that I needed a dvd player with a HDMI connection, so I got It is not only a remote I should have searched for, but a FREAKIN' This player DOES NOT come with a remote, so most of my movies are almost impossible to view. Although the picture quality is decent, it's not even close to what I get on my Walmart DVD The money spent on this was wasted because a remote control would have been helpful.
A remote control was not provided with the DVD player, so there is no way to switch between different DVD contents. The computer turns on on its own at random. The build quality reflects the price, with cheap Chinese plastic and flimsy buttons, a basic software interface, and a very noisy fan.
