Every time I take it out, the piece that actually plugs into the vehicle's power outlet becomes stuck, and I feel like I'm going to break it! But I need a replacement cord because both of my children are autistic and we travel for therapy four times a week, and I needed a cord for the DVD players, so I'll have to get a new one.
My portable DVD players are Insignia dual screen models. The plug-in cord's tip became tangled in the lighter. I can't get it out without completely dismantling my dashboard - This is not going to happen! I called Insignia customer service and was on hold for more than 90 minutes, being transferred several times. It's a real pain. While at a ball practice one night, I decided to go on Amazon and look for it. I found it, ordered it, and received it in two days! I wish I had gone this route first to save myself some time and aggravation!.
I purchased this in the hopes of using it with our portable DVD players on a long road trip. I needed something that would last for a long time and would only use one of my power sources. This is ideal: a great price, long enough cords to connect to two DVD players on each headrest, and the power cord reaches our minivan's farthest power source. I'm so happy I came across this!.
I ordered this in late April and it is now late June, and when I pulled the charger out of the port, half of it stayed in the port, forcing me to dig the pieces out and even then losing some of the small pieces in the console. It was great for two months, but then it stopped working.
I plugged it into the port next to my Forward Facing son's seat, and routed it around his seat and up the aisle. It reaches both his screen and the seat of his Rear Facing brother. There's a cord between them that's hanging in the air, but that's to be expected. When I return the seats to their proper positions, it will most likely fall and become less obnoxious. Even if it doesn't, it'll be well worth it. This greatly improves the usability and convenience of these players! br>We haven't tried charging the players with them yet, but I'll let you know if there are any issues.
Because I couldn't decide which fuse to buy, this was the next best thing!.
Works great in my car, which has two dvd players, and I needed one that was long enough to reach from the trunk to the back seats with some slack. Everything went smoothly!.
