It does offer English menus standard and English subtitles for discs that are in the English language but I am unaware if it offers translations for other languages.
On the cd it says CD- Playback is available in both R and RW. Since I don't have experience with it, I cannot give you any advice. Sorry about that.

This is a plug-and-play device. Not reading instructions was not a priority for me. With this DVD player I replaced the built-in DVD player on my 30 year old analog television that was no longer functioning. To date, I have had no trouble watching dvds from Japan, Brazil, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. You do not need to adjust your settings when switching regions. In comparison with the faltering built-in dvd player it replaces, the picture quality is much superior. Afterwards, I ordered another, which I connected to my newer flat-screen television. I was so pleased with it in my first week that I ordered another. The item is a great deal for the price, and it comes in many different colors The region attribute and picture quality are superior. The remote is relatively small, and the key buttons are easy to understand. I will probably buy more of them as a 'gift' so I can play my other region DVDs when visiting my relatives frequently.
I purchased a few DVDs online for a fraction of the price ($40 vs $280), but found they were the wrong region when I popped them in the player. I was able to save a lot of time and money by avoiding having to ship them back to the UK and pay for the collection again. My eyes were drawn to other multi-disciplined programs We read a lot of reviews before choosing this DVD player. My TV has no problems playing DVDs, and installing or connecting it was really straightforward and took me less than 2 minutes (it's those red, yellow, white A/V cables). I've had it for about a week now and haven't encountered any issues.
The Panasonic 'S500P-X' is the one I am referring to This does not need to be programmed. All of these formats can be played by this device I'm taking action right now! A pair of RCA type jacks are located at The first video consists of a video and a picture The left 2 and the right You've got the right audio. It has a power output of ten It's small compared to the older models of the past decade, but I find it to be quite basic, which I enjoy. It doesn't play Blu-ray, however. It's true, Ray, but there are plenty of other players out there at great prices. This player is an excellent little It was a great price, so I bought two!.
My goal was to be able to watch DVDs from Europe and the US with this product. It appears that the box has "Region Free" on it, but the machine itself is only marked for Region 2. Someone slapped a sticker on the box which says "Region Free", so it shows up in the listings. ALL of the DVDs I tried from different regions wouldn't play! On the TV, all I got was grayscale fuzz or the system would randomly say it was playing and then stop (showed the stop icon on the TV) without explaining the behavior. All of the machine's buttons did not work except the eject button, and the play/pause button was stuck. To use the machine, you needed a remote control, so if you lost it or damaged it, you are in deep trouble I don't know. As the package had Arabic characters, I am guessing that it is junk the middle / lower classes of the Middle East sell. There is some empathy in my heart towards my fellow laborers as it appears that some electronics companies exploit poor people around the world.
The euro symbol is inserted Played the DVD with no problem. It has nothing to do with the cables or playing back. I don't understand. There is a different remote with my unit that was designed to work with The Panasonic customer service department provided me with the part number for a proper remote (PN # EUR7617010), which can be purchased through 3rd parties on It appears that somebody isn't following directions.
If this was a Region Free or All Region player, then I shouldn't ever see a screen stating that the region of the DVD cannot be recognized, and I should never see it on any of the DVDs. In addition. There is only one region in the world. In this case, eight of fifteen less than two year old DVDs were not playable. The whole thing is absurd. When this Panasonic replaced the cheap DVD player that played them all with no problems at all, it was very impressive. You can do yourself a favor by checking out They are much better than my Panasonic and I bought one to replace it.
0 out of 5. I bought this as a present for my mother, who is 88 years old. According to her, here is what she said Having used the Panasonic player, I can recommend it. During the movie, I played I want to thank you once As she was able to figure it out on her own, it scored a five out of five.
Despite turning off the computer or going into standby mode, there is no option to pick up where I left off from my old machine, where even if I were to turn it off or turn it off, I could still pick up how I When a "pause" is too long or when you use a "pre-" When you click “stop” and wait a few minutes, it just restarts the dvd from the beginning.
