Questions & Answers

Does this require an external box or can it be placed directly on my TV? The only antenna I have is a regular one. ?

There is no digital or HD tuner on this unit. Now that you receive broadcast TV via antenna, it is all in The hard way, as I found out, is that I shouldn't have asked before buying the unit myself. There may be a digital TV converter box that can work with it. You are in good hands.

Can you tell me if there are any other items for sale?

It is what is for sale that is available for purchase. Currently, there are over 25 listings to choose from, a few of which include remote controls and others do not. Having more for sale is not going to increase variety much since all the players are the same

Do you have the capacity to record any other channel besides TV?

This unit has RCA and coaxial inputs, so it can capture data from other sources as well

Can this be done with a tennea?

Yes, it is. It will only be possible if the ant comes from the end. The 'IN' ant will work with the device. There are coaxial and standard red, white, and yellow plugs on both ends, and they all

This was not one of my wiser purchases
3/5

(I have cable television) I purchased this device mainly to record television broadcasts. It has to do with In spite of the instructions (which I downloaded off the internet), I am not able to set it up so that it will record. I have tried every configuration they suggest, and even a few they did not recommend. It's a nice unit, but since it's an older model, it is not set up for the higher channels of cable service, so even if I could get it to record in HD, it wouldn't be in high definition. It was a waste of money to buy this product when I could have purchased a DVD player for 1/3 of the price.

This DVD recorder has a longer lifespan than ANY of my previous ones
5/5

This refurbished DVD Recorder lasted longer than all of my previous DVD recorders I'd purchased - I've never had an issue with it. I bought ALL of them from stores like Walmart/Sam's Club, and all of them were new. Although it wasn't pretty for a brand new player, it worked, so that was what mattered. Due to former systems, I was unable to anticipate the length of time it would take me to finish. It usually lasts about 17 months for me to own a DVD Recorder. In spite of regular usage, this system was able to last for over 4 years before it started to wear out Our family has a busy work and school schedule, which is a lot considering my husband and I both work and go to school full-time. It is highly recommended that you buy from this seller if you want a refurbished DVD Recorder. In spite of the fact that the recording feature is now unreliable as a result of heavy usage, the player still works fine. In order to replace the current system with a new one I am keeping the old one as a backup- I have backed it up (just in case we need it later).

Using this product is a snap
5/5

It's so easy With my Dish TV service, I use these instead of their "hopper" DVRs, which I've bought several of the "progressive scan" models. A color combination like this can't be beaten Connections that are coded. With my DVD recorder you can record anything, even programs and movies that other DVD recorders won't record. Just read the owners manual-- I can record anything in the world. Those are the only steps you need to take. I've seen some whiny, ignorant reviews here, maybe that will cut them down a bit? Using this product is a snap. It's so easy Excellent results are obtained from it Excellent audio quality to go along with an excellent video. In addition to playing DVDs, my device also plays CDs. My own recordings are not the only ones I can watch, but I can enjoy any other recordings as well There are many regional DVDs on the market (and any NTC DVD as well). To be ready for any eventuality should something go wrong with the one I'm using now, I keep an extra on hand In this context, I mean As a back up, there is a box in the closet. A rating of more than 5 would be appropriate for the MWR10D6 If there were a way to give more stars, I would.

This did not record
3/5

Total waste. I got a used copy of this, but it did not record, and the menus did not appear to be very recording oriented. If we had improved our DVD/VHS recording technology since we used to use it, you might think we would have. There is no apparent reason for this. A single "record" button was all that was part of the interface. While I got this as a gift for my mother, if I were to record a DVD today I would edit it with a computer. I failed at this thing too, because it used low-tech.

It is a good value for money, but has a few caveats that can be tolerated
4/5

First one was purchased from Walmart for a great price). There are several pros to the following The unit just keeps working and is an excellent value for its low price I've burned MANY DVDs (a few hundred by now) with it, using it to clear space on my Tivo DVR's hard drive and to transfer old VHS recordings. Due to its great quality, I paid more for another one/used one than I did for the first new one, simply because I trusted the warranty to work, and it is getting really hard to find a device at a decent price anymore Video DVD burner with a price of $100 or less The footprint is small It has a video input/output that I prefer when connecting to older displays, such as analog or standard-definition. There are a few cons The GUI/menus look a bit outdated and aren't exactly well laid-out, but once you get used to them, they aren't so bad There are some issues with the remote control Getting used to it is ergonomic, but it does take some getting used to.

As expected, it works
5/5

Moreover, to record off cable as well as to play DVDs. It is only DVD+RW that I use, so it does not cause me any problems. However, I have not been able to use DVD-ROM Despite my best efforts, I have been unable to complete Perhaps my problem is the cause. With 60 DVDs that run on my other DVD player and PC, I can play them in either one.

The item was purchased to replace an old one that had stopped As I had the previous one, I connected as I had this one and neither of them work
3/5

As a test, I put a DVD in to play to see whether the connection was working (RF output) and there was no signal. The unit did not make any internal sound to indicate that the disc was spinning when I pressed play. As a result, I acquired this bad one to replace my old My end of the deal was a bad one.

There is no remote control
3/5

The remote that came with the box was the wrong remote. The unit I bought was like new and came with a Actually, it does have a remote, but it is not the one included with It is a MWR10D6 and the remote is for a MWD200F, so they are While the unit does not work, it does work.
