5 star reviews that aren't genuine. Update: The DVD player had stopped working after 5 months of use. No Disk Error, it would say. It would tune the movie after about 20 cycles of turning off and on. After 7 months, the sound began to fade and make static noises. I would advise everyone not to buy this product, despite the fact that it has a lot of 5-star reviews, because once they send it to you, you will be disappointed. A piece of paper in the packaging states that if you give it 5 stars on Amazon, you will receive a free headrest mount. I contacted customer service about my issues, but they did not respond to my request for a refund or replacement.
Finding things to keep me occupied while driving is crucial as a truck driver. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this portable DVD player. Since I've been on the road, I've had four different types of portables, and this one by FAR has the best picture quality. It really works. This unit has exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is comparable to that of similar units. But what do you expect from such a small device? I simply use an auxiliary cable to connect it to my truck stereo.
This player is ideal for busy toddlers who need to be entertained on long car rides! This is the second time we've used it - once over the course of a seven-day period a three-hour road trip, and once more during a three-hour road trip a three-hour drive Our two- year- It doesn't hold a charge very well (barely 3 hours), but we've kept it plugged in for the duration of our trips (the cord easily reaches from the player to our outlet in the center console) to keep it working. old loved watching her Disney movies while we traveled and it helped keep her preoccupied and happy the entire time. During our trips, the holder we bought appears to keep it fairly stationary. Unfortunately, it does not support Blu Ray, but it has played all of our regular DVDs flawlessly, with the exception of The Little Mermaid, which is an older film (and perhaps the format isn't supported in the same way as newer DVDs?). Apart from that, the only drawback I've discovered so far is having to pull over to insert new DVDs, but this is a minor annoyance given how much less stressful our road trips are now that we have this player.
The video quality is excellent, and the audio is accurate. I like how light it is, so I can take it with me wherever I go. My iPhone's earbuds plugged into the jack. The color is a lovely dark blue. The player was well-protected by the packaging in which it arrived. Because it fits like a case, I use the bubble package to store the player. I like to sit back and watch DVDs with the player on my lap. It's practical. The fact that I can charge the player as many times as I want without worrying about battery memory is one of my favorite features. It does, however, keep a charge for at least three DVDs. It charges in under two hours, so all I have to do when I'm done is plug it in and it's ready for the next time; the price is an added bonus.
This thing lasted a few weeks without continuous play; it began with an electronic odor before abruptly ceasing to play and shutting down. I'd like to add to this review that I was given a new player without asking for it, so while I was disappointed with the product, I was pleasantly surprised by the end result, and the seller is trustworthy.
We finally had to replace it a few weeks ago, and we went with the DBPOWER 10. Our preferred replacement is a 5" unit, which our 8-year-old son will use primarily. We put this new DVD player to the test on a long weekend road trip out of state, and I must say, we were blown away! My son was able to figure out how to use it on his own in no time - It is very easy to use. The screen is extremely large, the picture quality is excellent, the audio quality is acceptable (though we prefer to use headphones), and the included remote control is a fantastic feature. I'll eventually get the headrest mount to make long trips even more comfortable, and I love how the screen swivels around 180 degrees and folds flat (hence the need for the remote control because the screen isn't touch). It did not include earbuds, which I expected. I appreciated the fact that it included both a DC wall plug and a 12V car adapter. The battery life is nearly as long as it claims to be. This is a ten that I would strongly recommend. DBPOWER's 5-inch DVD player!.
So far, everything has gone well! We just received this a few days ago, and I bought it for my toddler to keep him occupied on the plane ride. The audio quality is excellent. For him, it's the ideal size.
