ray.   I still have a DVD player under my TV stand because I have a high school son who watches Netflix movies, but there are so many good movies that aren't on Netflix that I have on DVD. With this, he can watch some of our DVD collection without being disturbed by his younger brother and sister from his room. I was able to watch movies in DivX, SVCD, and MPEG4 from a DVD data disc recorded from my PC, despite not knowing how to use the gaming control or watch movies from a USB thumb drive. It also plays DVD movies without a hitch, proving that it accomplishes its primary goal. This defeats the purpose of purchasing it in the first place! MY REVIEW HAS BEEN EDITED: I contacted a BMG-affiliated vendor. STORE to inform them that, contrary to the box, my DVD player did not come with a car charger. It was promoted on Amazon with a description. The BMG- Within hours of sending it to them, I received an email from STORE. To make things right, their Customer Service was exceptional. I assumed they would simply send me a car charger. They did, however, send me a new DVD player. It wasn't the exact same one because Amazon was out of stock, but it was the same size. They wanted to get to the bottom of the "no car charger" problem as quickly as possible. It was delivered to me in three days. They told me that I could keep the one I had and that there would be no additional cost! Thank you very much, BMG- STORE. However, the car charger that was advertised did not come with it. What's nice about it is that it's fairly light and portable, making it ideal for road trips. The DVD player itself is well-made, roughly the size of a laptop from the early 2000s but lighter than a modern laptop. It does come with a controller, but I don't see any built-in games, and I went through all of the settings and couldn't find anything. Having said that, the first controller I was given was cracked in the middle. After closer inspection, it appears that the controller is not of the highest quality, but I have yet to find a way to effectively use it. There is a remote control for controlling the DVD player from a distance. The product's battery life is also quite good, lasting about two hours or so on the first charge before needing to be recharged. There is no car charger included, but there is a wall charger. While the DVD player is charging, you can use it. The next feature is that you can connect this to a television and it will function as the television's DVD player. Unfortunately, it only supports RCA, not HDMI, which means that many newer televisions will be incompatible. Although the RCA cable is quite long, keep in mind that it only connects to those three devices via RCA. 5 MM plugs are easy to replace if necessary, but there are only one instead of three. Make sure it's plugged into the correct port; the controls are simple, and it includes a TV and DVD player. If you need to watch TV, I believe you can do so with this device. The screen is held in place by a rotating hinge, allowing you to use it as a tablet. Because the screen isn't touch-sensitive, you'll have to either reopen it or use the remote control to operate the buttons. The blue is nice, but after a while it starts to show scratches, and there is no carrying case included. Also, be cautious of the box's bottom, which is not particularly stable and could easily break under the weight. The image quality is exactly what you would expect. With the DVD player, it appears to be a standard 480p. It hasn't been upscaled in any way. To unlock the DVD slot, simply press down on it. It does a good job of holding the DVD in place, but don't shake or turn it while it's playing. A USB port and an SD card slot are available for plugging in a thumb drive or SD card to watch videos. The only issue is that it either has a very limited file to watch from MPEG4 or lacks the proper video codec, resulting in only sound. Overall, this is a good portable DVD player to have with you when you're out and about. It's great for keeping kids entertained, and the best part is that it can be plugged into a television to turn it into a DVD player. This makes it ideal for homes and other environments because it can be used as a primary DVD player. The remote must be in line of sight to work, and it is powered by a coin battery. It does run on older technology, so keep that in mind, and the controller is a little too flimsy for my tastes.

  The screen on this portable DVD player measures in at 14 inches. This one is larger than the one I previously had. Not only is the size larger, but the sound is louder as well. It has all of the features I needed, and the controls were simple to use because it used the same icon designs as the rest of our computers. Because it was too loud, I didn't turn up the volume all the way. It's beneficial to have more powerful speakers. The screen can be folded down to make it look like a tablet and can be rotated 180 degrees. Folding it makes it easier to hold. My kids can watch it without having to buy a holder because it can be tucked right behind the car seat. I don't think there's a holder out there that could keep this bad boy from falling over. This keeps my kids occupied on long car rides and when we go camping. It can connect to a wide range of devices, but specific settings and configurations must be checked in the manual.
