Generally, the body/chassis of the unit is covered with a thin matte/clear film that must be cleaned or removed (I'm sure most people aren't even aware it is there). If the film is peeled off, it will also take a portion of the "tamper evident" seal/sticker, thus voiding the factory warranty and removing you from the running for a return to Amazon. Can you believe it? I mean, really? How does anyone place the seal/sticker on the unit knowing that it partially overlaps the protective film covering the body and vent slots? It would have been better if I had noticed when I removed the "tamper" sticker that was on top of the film that needs to be removed so the vent slots are able to work as intended. It is important to remember when peeling off the thin film, that the film that is close to the "tamper" seal/sticker on the rear corner of the unit, should be cut at a small section that lies under (or makes contact with) the seal/sticker.
