Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with both PCs and Macs?

Yes, it is possible. However, please keep in mind that the PC/Mac can only be used as an input device for our converter; if your computer or Mac has an HDMI output interface, it will work.

It appears to be compatible with game consoles and firesticks. Is a cable box required?

It will work with any cable box that has an HDMI port.

There are no output options on the television. It's equipped with a HDMI port. Will the box be able to connect the hdmi input on the television to the input on the box?

Yes, it is possible to connect it in this manner. The link is: TV BOX - HDMI Adapter - Input HDMI - HDMI Audio Extractor is a program that allows you to extract audio from your HDMI source. Output HDMI - Spdif Output, HD TV - Optical Cable is a type of optical cable that is used to connect two devices together Bar with a sound system. Please keep in mind that our HDMI audio converter can only support a resolution of 1080P@60Hz. If you used a 4K@60hz (HDMI 2) source device, HDCP2 and 0 are two different types of digital content protection. 2) To test, set your input device's resolution to 1080p@60Hz or 720p@60Hz.

Is it necessary to use electricity for this? What happens if you don't have access to a USB port?

I was able to turn it on by plugging it in with an HDMI cable. I connected it to my PS3 and had to use the USB plug to get the images to display on my television. I had to run an hdmi from the PS3 to the box and one from the box to the tv after plugging in the usb where the remote connects. It's where I keep my sound bar plugged in. Because there is no optical cable connection on my television. I hope you find this information useful.

It Is Effective You'll be able to tell when you're in need of one
5/5

Audio extractors that look almost identical to this one are made by a number of companies. Don't be fooled - there's a lot more to this story than meets the eye. The ESYNIC should be purchased. We could have paid a few dollars more (say, $2-$3). ) but it is far more durable and of higher overall quality than other units. I'm well aware of this because I've had to replace a number of them over the years. It's great for pulling audio from a computer HDMI into a FOH digital board in a live sound situation. You can also use stereo RCA to record the audio. If you're using HDMI in any setting (Pro Audio, Home Theater, etc. ) and need to extract the audio to send to a mixer or amplifier, this is the tool to use. You'll need this unit.

It's a little finicky at first, but once it's up and running, it'll do the trick
4/5

I was about to return this because I thought it was a faulty device because I tried it on two different monitors with the same source (Amazon Fire Stick) and got no signal at first, even though the power supply was plugged in and the HDMI output had a green lock light. Don't give up too soon if you can't get output. I believe there is a specific order in which you should plug in the device, cables, and power supply in order for it to work properly. I must have switched the power on and off five times before it finally worked. At first, it's a little finicky, but once it's up and running, everything looks and sounds fantastic. As expected, there was no loss of video quality.

IT WORKS! I needed a way to get audio out of my hdmi projector (which is why some Epson projectors don't have audio out via HDMI)
5/5

I'm perplexed by the 5mm jack. ) I needed an extra HDMI cable, but I was able to send it from my Xbox One to this adaptor, then to my projector via a second HDMI cable. After that, I installed a yellow-red RCA-style amplifier. I used a 5mm female adaptor to connect my desktop speakers (Logitech z623) to this and was able to play audio without the need for stereo! If you don't want to deal with the hassle of a stereo receiver, this is the way to go. I can get 4 out of a pair of z623s by "daisy chaining" them together. 2 surround sound audio Although an audiophile might scream, the sound quality is above average, affordable, and much less of a pain.

Some HDMI devices are compatible, while others are not
3/5

Update: This works great with my projector, but when I tried it with a TV, it didn't work at all. The television acts as if nothing is connected - There is no audio and the screen is black. It didn't work with any of the five TVs in my house. 720p - vintage 720p - vintage 720p - vintage nope. 1080p - previous version nope. 3 year old video in 1080p - nope. 1080p has been added to the mix. nope. New 4k - nope. As a result, I'm reducing my rating from 5 to 2. br>br>For me, this was extremely effective. The video and audio were of good quality. On one side, I connected it to my Roku, while on the other, I connected it to my HD Projector and a Trond Blue tooth audio device that was in transmit mode. The audio is sent to another Trond Blue tooth device that is connected to a home or car audio system in receive mode. br>br>I've listened to music videos and watched movies, and they sounded just as good as other sources and were not out of sync. br>br>One error I made was that when I plugged in my Roku, it also powered up without the power cord plugged in - As a result, that's how I used it. An overheat message from the Roku appeared on my screen after about an hour. I unplugged the Roku and let it cool down for a few minutes before plugging in both the Roku and this device's power cords, and the message hasn't appeared since. This device comes with a USB charging cable but not an outlet plug; you'll need one of those, or better yet, one with two USB ports so you can plug in a streaming device as well. You won't need a third power plug if you're also using a Trond for wireless audio because the battery lasts a long time.

I use it to connect my Roku Express to my Bose Cinemate speakers, and it's a great little device
5/5

I was having trouble getting TV and other sound from the Roku Express that I bought to replace my cable provider's box, so a friend suggested I get one of these devices. Set- The set-up was simple, though I didn't get any sound or picture until I plugged in the AC adapter cable that came with it (I didn't plug it in at first because the red and green lights on the front and back were on, blinking intermittently, so I assumed enough power was flowing from the HDMI cables). In any case, the picture appeared and I was able to hear all of the menu sounds from the Roku Express once the power was plugged in (you'll need the female USB hub/block to plug in the cable that's provided). My older Bose Cinemate speakers, for example, only have one optical input and one LR RCA connection. So far, there have been no issues, though you may need to adjust your device's audio settings to accommodate different audio streams from Netflix, Plex, Amazon, and other services when using the Roku.

It's functional, and the audio has been extracted
3/5

However, the image colors went haywire. It was a nice metal case, and it appeared to be well-made. made. Points deducted for failing to include a power supply - It requires one, but they do not provide one; instead, you are given a USB cable to connect to a USB charger. A minimum of 1 amp must be available from the charger. br>br>The audio was successfully extracted from the HDMI signal and transmitted to my receiver via SPDIF. However. The video signal was reprocessed in such a way that it took on a distinct pink and green hue (as seen in the image). It's as if the red and green signals have been boosted, making everything brighter and more off-kilter. color. br>br>I couldn't get it to work no matter what settings I tried, so I had to send it back.

It's the ideal way to use a PS4 Slim with a computer monitor
5/5

Because the PS4 Slim only has HDMI and no dedicated audio outputs, I was forced to listen to audio through headphones plugged into the controller when connecting it to a computer monitor with no built-in speakers. I can use my computer monitor while also routing audio from the PS4's HDMI output to my amp and speakers using this device. br>br>So far, the only disadvantages I've noticed are the way- too- I've blocked off a bright red LED on the input side with electrical tape, and the inputs and outputs are oriented in such a way that there's no "clean" line between them. It doesn't bother me too much that you can't see every wire, but if you're serious about cable management, you'll probably want to mount this device somewhere out of sight. br>br>Output appears to be a little quiet, but I have no way of knowing if this is due to the PS4 itself. Overall, I'm pleased with this device as long as it continues to function.
