In general, this is a really good app. It fits perfectly, thanks to the silicone skin. With this mount you're able to mount and adjust your camera a lot easier than with the one that comes with it. The purchase has been a good experience for me. Bad part, the coupler that fits around the ball joint has been cut very rough so it looks very ragged. I took some sandpaper and smoothed the ball out when it was harder and harder to adjust. Since the ball joint itself is aluminum, the coupler grinds into the ball making it harder and harder to adjust. Although it's stated in the description that it is hard to adjust, I think they could make a better cut where the ball and the coupler meet in the design to solve this problem.
The silicone cover fits the camera securely and I like how it looks. My favorite feature is that it screws onto the mount as opposed to the blink mounts that hold in It is not a very good mount. If you want to screw it onto the mounting surface, you'll need to take it apart. it's put back together again, there is no way to adjust it. The set screw will need to be loosened in order to allow the ball to move in the mount, but it should come out after about a half Once it is at the desired angle, adjust it and try to hold it in place as you reposition. Place a set screw in the screwhole. Even though you can do it, it can be awkward, especially if you happen to be on a ladder at the time. Despite the fact that they were useful, I would not buy them again and I don't.
A better alternative to the wall clip included in the package is this wall bracket. A more professional angle is presented and the camera is securely held in place. The design is very well thought out.
Despite the fact that I had to give one star, I wish I could have given ZERO stars in return. The black colored Blink XT camera mount I purchased is for the outside of the vehicle. Despite the fact that this product is designed to be installed, I was unable to do so. Changing the angle of the camera is impossible once you have started to screw in the set screw. I have not seen it trigger on a windy day, which seems to be a good sign of durability and stability. I like how easy it is to change the batteries and how well the seals hold up. I would definitely recommend it.
