You can choose where to place the camera depending on your preferences. There are two brackets here called "L" brackets. They are meant to be mounted vertically. You will be able to see the ground if you mount on the ceiling.

A glass window may work with the adhesive, but I am concerned that the weight of the camera may eventually torque the adhesive off of the glass. With this mount, you do not have to worry about tilting. It is fixed at a 90-degree angle. Alternatively, you can bend the mount to tilt the camera if necessary. The mount may be better suited to you if it is adjustable.

As far as installation goes, I found it the easiest thing I have ever installed. Since you only have to adhere it to the wall, it worked great at first. There was nothing more to it than peeling and sticking. The 24-hour deadline was past, so I waited 36 hours instead of the 24 required. After that, I put the screw in the bottom and set it up. At the end of five years I noticed the adhesive had begun to peel away from the wall after 6 days. Using this type of mount, the camera is literally as far away from the wall as it can be, causing downward pressure. This may have been possible if the camera had been positioned slightly further away from the ledge. There was only one screw to secure the camera to the support, so I will have to scrounge for an extra. Metal support with good adhesive.
But I bought 2 packs to use both but the screws to secure the cameras were missing. A 5 star review would have been given if there were two as there were supposed to be.
It blew off of the wall after the second week. So I guess I need to redo the installation by using the screws and anchors provided.
These were easy to install and didn't require screwing them into the wall, however, it turns out that the convenience of the product didn't pay off in the long run. Within one week, they were so weak that they fell from the wall! I had to screw them in because of the very disappointing way it was handled.
You can ignore the feature that allows them to be glued to the wall with the supplied tape. On two of them, I put cameras on them two days after putting them up on a perfectly flat, clean surface and the next day they fell down. These things are thrown out in the garbage.
I use it for that. It's metal, and that's why I like it. As a result, it cannot move. However, it only shoots in one direction when I am videoing.
It has so far held up well since I used the tape to mount my Wyze pan cam. The mount you will receive will not disappoint you.
