If you want, you can split the current, but that just splits the current-stream. You could not patch it to make it waterproof unless you really did a good job. An even better idea would be to run two lines and to install an USB power adapter with dual outlets close to the plug.
To connect the camera to a computer via USB, the square plug converts 110v household current to 5v via a USB switch. In order to house the plug and a 110v socket, you would require a waterproof enclosure.

A great product that is exactly 20 feet long. My expectations have been met and this product meets my expectations. My blink camera is perfectly placed onto the mount even with a third party weather proofing unit. I contacted customer service as well because I thought I ordered 2 but only received 1. I found out I really had only ordered 1 during my third shift hours that day and they responded almost immediately to every email. Their offer of a half off refund was fair even though I did not accept it. It's a great product and a great service. Let's do it again!.
Almost all people are aware that the Blink cameras are wireless and powered by There has been a long battery life in my case. I have read complaints of a 3 to 4 month battery life but something is clearly However, I have decided to try these power cords while I am not ready to change batteries. It was easy to install them in the cameras because they fit perfectly. A very small hole needed to be drilled through the garage wall in order to plug them in. A USB end should be able to slip through the hole provided it is large enough. There were two cameras on that corner of the house (one facing down the side and one facing around the front), so I needed just one hole to mount them. You can plug the included cords into an electrical outlet without having to extend them. In front of the front door there is an outdoor locked electrical outlet. A thin cord runs underneath the siding and tucks up under the cap. There is almost no visible evidence of it. The fourth camera has yet to be installed and I'm trying to find the appropriate spot on the back of the house to install it. I mentioned my battery life had been great, but I mentioned they're nine feet off the ground, which may be a problem when it's time to replace them. A ladder is not my favorite thing. Years ago, I fell off of one of them and now I am afraid of them. Installing the cameras was the work of my handyman. As much as I wanted to avoid having to call him to change the batteries, I didn't want to. The batteries will keep them going in the event of a power outage since they have constant power. These custom outdoor cords are not made by or sold by Blink, even though they are sold by Amazon for Blink cameras for outdoor use on Amazon! It's no wonder Amazon owns Blink! The cords are designed with a gasket to ensure seal but (by Blink) they break the waterproof seal despite the fact that they have a gasket to ensure it. Having bought 12 cameras from Amazon and 12 power cords in hopes that they would not sell me a product that would void their own warranty, I was pleasantly surprised. As it turns out, BEWARE! This has disappointed me greatly. This is a scam!
