My six year old son is very musical so I bought this for him I still have an old iPod for him and he can listen to it easily. It has a pretty good sound quality compared to other MP3 speakers at that price point and is simple for him to use. I wish the product came with a USB cord as I use mine and I don't see how charging it made it work. It has good sound, I had a magic bullet and it expired. I like this one but wish it were smaller so I could take it with me. Its sound quality is much better than any of the magic bullet products, plus it has two speakers so it's a great buy.

Apparently the Nexus 5 has a speaker problem as it ages, so I am using my desktop mp3 player now. There is a small difference in the size between this speaker and a micro usb device. As luck would have it, I still have my old Blackberry's mini USB cable.

I got one for my older daughter this Christmas (the panda one). I purchased a round speaker (in the shape of a heart), and found that both My younger daughter (turning 10) is a girl so I went ahead and bought her this one for her Every day, these devices are used by them. There are small (it's hard to say how big they are), and they are Two AA batteries are required. It is true that the sound is diminished slightly when the batteries run out, but that could be expected. You can have really nice sound for your bedroom as long as the batteries are regularly updated A room of the right size. I wouldn't use them in a huge room to play music from my iPhone, iPod, iPad, or even my youngest daughter's Nook, but we sometimes use them in the house to play music from our mobile devices. As well as reading an audio book to us, we use these devices to listen to on-the-go audio. These amazing baggies deserve five stars because of the usefulness, portability, and cuteness they provide for girls (which matters a great deal). It could be annoying for the girls if they forgot to shut off the batteries and the batteries ran out too quickly however, this is not a defect The user is at fault for that. It's not a good idea to buy one for girls younger than nine years old, simply because they might forget to turn it off.
