Questions & Answers

Is this a reversing wire cable or a straight wire cable?

A standard "reversed" pinout cable was delivered to me. However, thanks to Jeremy Boynes' response on October 26, 2020, I discovered this C2G part number 02971 with a "straight through" pinout: https: //www. amazon. B0002J1JVS (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002J1JVS) (http://www.a

Is there a two-conductor cord on this?

Yes, it is a two-conductor phone (rj11) cable, not a speaker cable.

BUY THIS CABLE IF YOU HAVE DSL! If you live in a rural area with DSL and aren't using a shielded cable, stop reading this review and go buy one
5/5

It took me a few years to figure out why my DSL speeds were always so bad, but after some long overdue research, I discovered a solution and put it to the test. cable with a shielding The cable is of good quality, but it is stiff, so you will have to work it a little to get it where you want it. This is an excellent option for anyone who has a long distance between their modem and a phone jack. My upload and download speeds have increased since I ran my line directly from the NID (Network Interface Device) on the outside of my house to the modem. I can now stream HD movies without any buffering or provider warnings. To be clear, this is an RJ11 shielded telephone cable, not a LAN cable (Cat 5, 6, etc. ). If you have DSL and are still using standard telephone cable, stop, click, order, and install. The end result will not disappoint you.

It's Perfect For AT At 50 feet from Wall Jack, there's a verse! This cable was purchased to attach my AT to the wall
5/5

T U- Verse DSL Router should be placed 50 feet away from the wall jack. And it was flawless! In fact, my speeds are a little faster than they were when I was using the router's original, shorter green cord. br>br>I needed this cable because I wanted to mount my router in the center of my house, near the ceiling. My wall jack, on the other hand, was a 50-foot distance away. I tried buying a regular 50' phone cord at first, but it didn't work because, even though I could connect to the router with it and my devices could see it, I kept getting Internet connection error messages. This was later discovered to be due to the fact that regular phone cords are susceptible to interference from other electrical equipment when used over longer distances. Regular phone cords lack the shielding and wiring necessary to isolate the Internet connection from these types of interferences. br>br>However, even when near several other electrical cords, such as power and Ethernet cords for my DirecTV and other devices, this cord is protected in every way. This cord has good wires, a thick plastic casing, and a lot of shielding. It is built so well that it resembles a network cable rather than a phone line. So when I plugged this cord in to replace my phone line, everything started working right away! My Firestick, phones, computers, and tablets are all connected to my Firestick. My Ring doorbell and ADT security cameras are among them. And, when I ran speed tests on my router, I discovered that this cord provides faster speeds than the original short green cord. br>br>Excellent product! Highly recommend.

DSL signal quality can be greatly improved with this method
5/5

Customer of Century Link's DSL service. I used this shielded cable instead of the standard green phone line cable that came with the installation. I work in the industrial electrical field, and shielded cabling isn't always necessary, but it's a good idea if your DSL modem is surrounded by a tangle of wires. Add EMI and RFI power filtering to your DSL modem's power, as well as shielded CAT5/6 cables for any connections routed out of the modem, and you'll be well on your way to improving your DSL signal inside your home. Because DSL is notoriously unreliable, I recommend taking every precaution to ensure that your signal quality is as good as possible.

This is a fantastic substitute
5/5

Allows me to move my modem around my home office, which I needed to do because the short cord that AT&T provided was getting in the way. T has made it possible. Fry's Electronics sold me a 25-foot cable, but it never allowed my modem to reconnect to my ISP. I purchased this 25' cable from Amazon, and I was back online in a matter of minutes, with a DL speed of 50 on Speedtest. net. 73 Mbps (I'm on a 40 Mbps plan), so switching cables had no effect on my speed. This cable is a lot more appealing than AT&T's obnoxious green cable. At both ends, T and the RJ11 plugs appear to be in good condition. My purchase went well.

Be wary of the buyer! In a fancy cable, there's a lot of bad quality control, but it's probably fine for phone calls
3/5

Garbage! br>br>I purchased this cable because I needed a long-lasting "buy it once, use it forever" cable. I didn't know much about telephone cables before this horrible cable caused me so many problems, but I've learned a lot about RJ11 cables, crimping, and wiring as a result of it. br>br>To summarize, these cables are poorly manufactured, and I had to cut mine apart and reassemble it to get it to work. In my attempts to repair this cable, I've spent twice the cost of the cable because removing everything needed to replace it would have taken me 4 hours of sweaty, angry work. As a result, I decided to spend my money and time on crimpers and education. br>br>I bought this to use with a solar system, and I buried it deep in a nest of electronics, trusting that it would work when the time came. BUT, when it didn't, I assumed it was a problem with my devices, because no respectable company would sell faulty telephone cables, but I was completely wrong. A photo of the connections can be found attached. The telephone cable has four wires: green, white-green, orange, and white-orange, which are barely visible. The white green and green are stranded wires, and the orange and a white orange are stranded wires as well. They are stranded to avoid signal interference from their other color counterparts. The white green/green and white orange/orange colors should be adjacent when crimped into the cable. My cables, on the other hand, were not crimped properly and were in the following order: Green, Orange, White Green, White Orange. Which is why the cables didn't work in my electrical setup; they might have worked if they weren't surrounded by other electronics, but I'm not sure. However, I can assure you that after cutting the ends off of these and recrimping them in the proper order, they work perfectly. br>br>I cannot express how disappointed and angry I was when I discovered that I had been sold a defective cable after having installed it so deeply into my electrical setup. Perhaps this is why so much emphasis is placed on Chinese-made goods.
