Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use the ThermaBind 500 to bind textbooks?

You can bind or repair books up to two inches thick and 12 7/8 inches long with this. There are three different time settings to allow for repeatable control of a wide range of operations. br>With the exception of Fastbind tape binding, which requires a separate machine, the machine is compatible with all thermal binding products.

Is it possible to bind hardback books with this machine?

The TB500 is compatible with hardcover and softcover books from any publisher. Because we sell all brands of thermal covers, it was built from the ground up to be a "Universal" machine.

Is it compatible with Unibind hardcovers?

The TB500 is designed to be a universal machine that can be used with any brand of thermal cover. For most Unibind products, the default 60-second cycle should suffice. If the books are particularly thick or you're working on a number of them at once, you can choose 120 seconds.

We want to create our own books for a school and print them on cardstock with a cover design. Is this a machine that could be used for this?

Yes, I believe this will be successful. You can make your own U-shaped cover by printing it, scoring it, and adding a glue strip, or you can buy laser-printable Coverbind "Print on Demand" covers. They are 11 by 17 inches in size, plus the width of the spine, which can be up to 1 inch. You have the option of cutting them down or leaving them as is. After printing, apply the glue strip (which is included), then your pages, and finally bind with the TB500. Unibind Steelback spines, which are available in both 11 and 8 sizes, are another option. lengths of 5 inches You put your own covers and contents in, bind them, and then tear the temporary covers away.

He knows his way around a book

So far, everything has gone well. The heating element appears to be reliable and consistent. I'll update the review as time goes on. But, since I've only bound about ten books so far, I'd buy another of this model.

This is how I make my own custom sketchbooks for drawing. For the price, this is a fantastic binding machine.

Exceptional! It helps to keep books out of the trash! I was struck by how useful and cost-effective the Cover One thermal binding machine could be after seeing it in action at another library in my district
5/5

However, I lacked the $1200 required to purchase it. I decided to give it a shot after polling other librarians on Facebook. It's well worth the $300 I paid for it, and it's already paid for itself. It has the same appearance as the "other" and performs the same functions. It is well worth your money.

Our first printing and binding project appears to be well-done and professional. together. It also saves money because it allows us to print only the number of copies required at any given time, allowing us to make changes, corrections, and updates whenever we want without having to worry about running out of copies. editions of the year br> Furthermore, Thermobind, Inc. is a company that specializes in thermal binding. is known for its excellent customer service. Mr. Bloomberg called to confirm that we weren't ordering unnecessary supplies before fulfilling our initial order for the binding machine, as well as a variety of covers and glue sticks, which was unusual for us. He also offered to help us learn how to use the equipment himself. There aren't many companies that specialize in various office supplies and equipment that provide that level of online customer support, especially for first-time buyers, in our experience. br> The person who is actually operating the machine and producing some fantastic results. "I give it 7 out of 5 stars," he said of the Thermobind products in one of his publications. " We'll be doing a lot more business with Thermobind, Inc. in the future. ".
