Whenever I liked something, I would mention it. The battery pack holds a replaceable LiPo battery pack lasting 10 hours, while the battery adapter holds a spare battery pack of 5 AAA batteries and can be used when the LiPo battery runs out. Simple to program my MMSI number on the computer with lots of YouTube videos. As an added bonus, Boat YS members receive a free MMSI number. This function allows you to move overboard. There was a scrambled call on Channel 70 from DSC. The position of another DSC can be tracked. You can navigate using GPS.
It is waterproof and floatable. The charging cradle includes AC and DC cables for charging the device. The charging pins are made of stainless steel. The battery charges in three hours. The belt clip is secure.
Not as handy as something like the Blu-ray player, but PDF manuals are available on the Standard Horizon website.
I can't imagine why it has an FM receiver for entertainment? like The lanyard is too large for the hole on the radio case that holds the lanyard. There is a hole on the belt clip that will fit it. * There is no digital data cable support software available on the website. The bottom line is that this is a quality handheld VHF radio as good as any you can buy and is quite a bit better than many.
If your boat sinks, or you fall overboard, this radio is capable of broadcasting a The range of VHF is limited to a few miles on the surface since it is line of sight and you will be underwater. With the new radio, rescue aircraft have a greater range when communicating.
The screen of this device dims to the point that it is unreadable when I take it out on my boat during hot weather. There is a noticeable difference between the reception and sound quality of this brand. I haven't transmitted on this model, so that's out of my hands. There are some good features to it as well as a manageable learning curve for programming and use.
As I work in the office, I use this radio all the time. Although I was very surprised to discover that the LCD display fades if the radio is left in direct sunlight for long periods of time as it is supposed to be of military grade construction. Direct or indirect UV exposure does not seem to be the cause. It happens regardless of whether the display is exposed to direct sunlight.
There is nothing you can do with this when you are It can only be used on the Radii It would be great to learn about other boaters, as well as emergency information. My Amazon return request has been declined. I am contacting the company.
We did a lot of research before making this purchase, and it has all the features I needed. This hand held VHF is the best for those looking for a handheld VHF.
It was bought as a gift, but we did some research and decided this was the most affordable option offered. A particular feature I liked was the floating nature of it.
I think it is well built. If you have a PWC, this is a great addition.
This is my second one and I love it.
