A product that is claimed to be waterproof does not meet expectations

In the process of cleaning this product, I accidentally dropped it There was no more than a minute when it was in the water. As soon as the product stopped working, it stopped working forever. Various parts of the product are corroded to the core.

There is nothing I dislike about this marine radio. When it comes to long distance, it works quite well. am looking for something I could take with me if I have an accident on my boat.

Out of the box, this device does not power on

I just got a radio broadcast. At 5 volts, the battery is fully charged. The charger is showing green in 4 v 4. I'm charging again to see if that is the problem but do not believe it is. When the battery is fully charged, its voltage is 4V. It may be resolved by now, but I am inclined to believe that it is.

do not know about the water resistance of this unit, but it was the same as One slight disappointment was that the belt clip screws that attach the hand held to the belt clip seemed to have gone missing from the unit, two stainless wood screws were packaged with the item, a trip to Ace Hardware later, and the belt clip screws were located. It was 66 cents later I solved the problem and I did not have to go through the hassle of returning the product.
I used the hand held at the marina and it seemed to work well.
Overall, very pleased with this product!.

We received this item in good time, it works as it should. However, I haven't really used it very much yet, so I cannot make a claim about the toughness, but it receives loud and clear at a good distance, so I am happy with how it works.
