While I ordered it, the picture in the catalogue depicted a 900 nxs, and I received one. In my opinion, the photo is just a little off

A great player for its price

The USB connector will wear out if you don't pull straight up when removing the drive. I use them in clubs, so DJ's don't care and pull sideways on the drive, causing cracks in the soldering. It is possible to resolder the contacts in some cases, but it is essential to be careful when taking off the top of the unit. It is very easy to trash the unit, and I mean very easy. If you need to replace it, you can also find the little USB board replacement on line.

I love the player you are! It makes me happy to play with it every time. The bottle has been through many bars and always has been a beast. Display screens made of flat materials are the only real downside.

I guess it's Pioneer's turn again to overcharge

As usual, Pioneer sells this item at a premium price. Especially concerning the USB port, there is no cue button on this device, and it is built in an awkward manner. These probably cost Pioneer $80. Building them costs 90, but then they are marked up 1000% for your pleasure. There are far better options for far less money than this crap, but a lot of "professional DJs" insist on using it to "feel professional" even more than they already are.

The price for this product would mean that you had to be ok with not having As smooth as the 2000nxs, it feels great. A flat display, on the other hand, is definitely something to be avoided.
