The equipment is installed at the home of a customer, so I am not able to Accepts two conductors with four conductors or two conductors with two conductors The circuit consists of 4 conductors and 2 ground electrodes It's no problem to run two conductors. come with more interior space though since it proves difficult to insert a wire into it once it is terminated to the v/c at the other end. There is a lot of bunching of the wires and the faceplate tends to tilt in one direction a bit. However, it seems to be fairly water resistant. I wish you the best of.

After I had had another volume control for a few years, I purchased this one to replace it. After a little over two years after installing this model, one of my speakers has stopped working, and I can attest to the fact that it is not completely weatherproof. In the end, it was not the speaker but this unit that caused the problem. A location that is exposed to the elements would not be suitable.

It is a good idea to use plastic for outdoor usage that is less fragile. Even though I'm not a power lifter, I was able to crush the plastic simply by tightening the metal screws. In Wisconsin, the pool is only open for about six weeks during the pool season. One of the transformers failed after one season of use. It can keep me going with just one channel operating for a few months until I can replace it with an even more reliable It would be a good idea to upgrade for any other buyers.

Installed this new volume control from Theater Solutions to replace a previous outdoor control. With less than a year since it was installed, it needs to be replaced. If you turn up the volume with each click, it will only play out of one speaker at a time. The music will sometimes play from the left speaker and other times from the right speaker, so it can be hit or miss depending on what volume it's set to. You won't get it to play out of both until you turn up the volume.

Considering the price ($35) of this product, it's a solid choice. The wires for the speakers had to be plugged in very close to the wall plate, as another reviewer had mentioned. Nonetheless, if you remove the green terminal that the speaker wires go into, it makes the job a lot easier (it clamps As a result, you won't need to hold onto the controller while attaching the wire. If you are only putting in a pair of speakers, then I would recommend using 16 Gauge wire. It was a bit of a challenge to twist the 2 wires together and try to install them in the terminal when I installed two pairs of speakers. connecting more than one pair of speakers, you will be able to install them a lot easier if you stick to 18 or 22 gauge wire. One problem I have had is that the instructions do not explain how to adjust the shorting bars in order to match the impedance of your speakers. In order to receive signal to the outdoor speakers, I have to have the volume turned up very loud on my Onkyo receiver. The only reason why the rating didn't go to 5 stars is because of that.

The jumpers are very easy to assemble. I found the instructions to be very clear as to how to assemble It is simple to match the output impedance of your amplifier with the chart, as well as the size and type of speakers you are installing. It is always best to assume that an amplifier is rated for 8 ohms if you are not sure what it is. You should use 14 gauge speaker wire if you plan to use more than one pair. Use a junction box to splice the pairs together if you want to utilize more than one pair. With more than one pair of wires in the volume control itself, it would be very difficult. It will be easy to connect many pairs using a separate junction box. Gasket cover is the only thing I don't like. Silicone is the best material for sealing but difficult to keep in place once it is applied. It only took a few sprays of adhesive to fix it. It has a great volume control that I highly recommend.

In the mid-650's). This is an excellent purchase. As well as the knob, it works perfectly. I installed my first one easily (it was my first).

Turning down the volume is no longer a necessity for me to run inside! There was a bit of a challenge finding a good mounting spot for the unit because it sticks out so far. is not too bad, but it is a little tricky to operate due to the size of the unit. Connecting the speaker cable, and then having to tuck it back inside, can be a little challenging. For the speaker wire, I used CS3 Rated in wall speaker wires, but they were too bulky for the housing. I would recommend a smaller wiring gauge. In order to restore the cover with the seal, you need to get the wires in and put the cover back on. This can prove difficult if you are doing it In the end, a piece of wiring got in the way, and the faceplate didn't bolt down all the way in one corner, so the knob kinda rubs the edge of it. It was a minor inconvenience I could have fixed, but something you might want to be aware of when installing. The volume control works well once installed, controlling the volume nice and steady with no distortion or noise. If the volume control on your current system does not fit the party, then this is the upgrade for you.
