I'm Ann, and I think you know that readers and listeners tend to prefer either a diffused or a concentrated presentation of surround sound You might like the directional quality the surround channel information presents. If you enjoy hearing a lot of sound coming from the rear channel almost as much as the sounds from the front speaker, then install the speakers in a way that the tweeters are aimed directly at the audience members. hand, if you prefer the rear channel information to be more atmospheric, where the sounds are supporting the front channel information, then place the tweeters near the ceiling or adjacent walls so that they are reflected. Take a moment to think of how Lights created by wall sconces create a soft, ambient glow, while lights aimed at specific targets are meant to concentrate the light and produce something noticeable.
Without a doubt. You can place them as height front (on the ceiling above your TV and right above your listening area, as I currently do), height center (right above your listening area), or height back (between your listening area and your rear speakers) based on your amp's capabilities. The receiver I'm using is an Onkyo TX SR646, and the receiver is The configuration has been divided into 2 parts, and each of them can be customized. In my opinion, it does not make sense that other amplifiers would not do the same thing. That being said, I have really enjoyed my experiences with Atmos. You should definitely check it out. **EDIT** I assume you mean the height of the front? In other words, "on the ceiling.". You don't have to do that if you meant front, at ear level. Consider bookshelf or floorstanding speakers instead, even if you plan on hiding them behind a false wall. These speakers' coils are diagonal / directional, so they can be hidden behind a false wall. Speakers for these applications are designed to be mounted on a ceiling, in a downfiring position, aimed at
The pair is for sale! I enjoyed listening to them.
The speakers are two. Each side has its own set of guidelines.

Using our 5 as a measure, we In the living room, there is only one audio system. My Polk Audio 80F/X-S is set up and ready to go The Polk Audio 80F/X-80F is the speaker we purchased for the front 3 speakers (right, center, and left). The two back speakers (right and left) should be reproduced as RT. We have just built a new house Using the 9-foot audio cable, we connected the audio to the 9-foot speaker Three-quarter inch diameter Polk pre-filter Placing the construction brackets before putting up the drywall As a result, installation went smoothly. The Polk DSW PRO 440 subwoofer was added to the space in front of the speakers so that they face the listening area. Since we bought the CD about a year ago, we have been listening to them regularly and have been very happy with it.
Buying these speakers to replace some smaller rear speakers in my 5 was the best decision I've ever made. The theater system has 1 screen. These speakers provide a much fuller sound than did the little micros I had in the rear, and they work well with my Marantz set to "all zone stereo" mode, where both the front and rear speakers are receiving full power from my surround sound system. Unlike straight-down tweeters, these are mounted at an angle, so you can rotate the assembly until the tweeters are firing toward the listening area, instead of straight downwards. There is now a lot of sound in the room! This was an easy installation and they appear to be working quite well. I made it. It is only because the speaker did not possess the same level of detail and nuance as some of my (admittedly more expensive) speakers that I did not award five stars. These are not my front mains, but I would buy them at least once again for the rear.
In a 7-inch case, I purchased the 80 F/X surround for the rear of my home. The setup consists of one. vaulted ceilings that are 15 feet high, so I was concerned about the quality of speakers for such a large room and wanted speakers that could deliver a lot of surround sound. As much as the MC 80's were highly rated, I preferred these based on my comfort level and without taking any chances in the process. The experience has not disappointed me so far. I found them to produce a great sound that suits my set up and living room layout perfectly. In spite of the high ceiling placement, you can hear them loud and clear, and the bass is pretty good as well. It looks like they can do a lot, but I hooked them up to center channels just to see what they can really do and what they sounded like. I almost kept them to run center and front channels, but I have a definitive technology mythos sound bar for that. Particularly if you need to fill a large room with sound, these speakers are highly recommended.
Choosing Polk F/X RT speakers based on size, price compared to Sonance and Episode, and also timber matched with my front towers was an important factor for me. It's a pleasant surprise, I must say. There was no penalty for listening to music in 5 channel stereo even though the priority was surround sound effect during movies. A good performance was given by the F/Xs, who filled the room with a good amount of clarity and crispness. I didn't expect much bass from these since there is no enclosure on the back of the speakers. A little thumping, but not as much as I was expecting. A subwoofer is required to provide the low notes at the end of the spectrum. This is an excellent pair of speakers for the price. This is something I strongly An excellent value for your money! A. LATEST UPDATE three Polk Audio F/X RT in ceiling speakers for a variety of years (3-- Age 4 years). The value and performance of these speakers have been great, as well as the fact that I now have a Dolby Atmos AVR, I plan on purchasing 4 more of them.
For my drop ceiling tiles, I was looking for a speaker I could install. I am very happy with these and they were very Due to the fact that rear surround speakers do not need to be large or powerful, I wish there were a cheaper and smaller With the speakers mounted in the ceiling, I was able to hide the speakers along the back wall of my home theater room instead of being concerned with where I would mount them.
I bought these speakers for my home theater to use with Dolby Atmos.
This design makes an excellent ceiling surround as it comes with an angled woof and twin tweets. It is very simple and quick to setup since they mount in the drywall like it was an electrical box.
With these and a pair of Klipsch for atmos speakers in an 11, I bought a pair of each. It is arranged in 2 configurations. It was impossible to compare them when I put one of these on my left and one of the Klipsch on my right. It was blown out of the water by the Klipsch.
They're constructed so well, and they're so easy to install that I love them. A minor improvement would be to be able to remove the Polk label before painting. As soon as you paint the grill to match your ceiling, the Polk audio is gone, leaving a small blank spot. It would be nice to have there be a sticker or removable emblem that says Polk. I loved the sound they provided, and they complemented my theater well.
