Questions & Answers

How do you mount these speakers, and do you need a speaker box in the ceiling, or can they just be installed through a hole in the wall?

My instructions told me to allow a moderate space around the speaker I can't remember when I installed mine, but I do remember that it was stated in the instructions The size is about 3 feet by 3 feet. Obviously, you do not need a speaker box, but the acoustics that you have in your ceiling will affect how the sound resonates, so if you discover no bass, you may need a baffle or enclosure In an open attic space with a flat ceiling of 8 feet, I have four of these speakers installed the sound quality is great. There is one mounting hole for the speaker attached to a 2x4 attic beam, and the other mounting holes are secured to the drywall itself. Again, this speaker sounds great even though I left the fiberglass insulation in the attic so that it rested on the back of the speaker. To handle the low-end, I have also configured a subwoofer with a 10-inch diameter in the living area. The speakers deliver a great thump but they do not provide high-end sound quality.

Would it be possible to use them in a home theater setup, preferably with Dolby Atmos?

There are four 8" speakers in a 7 which I'm using as Atmos speakers. There is a configuration of 4. My experience with these speakers as Atmos speakers has been very positive.

The front speakers will sound better as a result. These three or one MTM each with a 6 is sufficient. What do you think is the best number for each side? I wonder if these would work for rear speakers as well. The idea of 5 identical speakers is nice however, if it's not used as a main (with a sub, of course), then it isn't an appropriate choice. ?

To keep it simple, I chose the dual 5 with an 8" for the right front and two 8" for the left. It costs 25 cents for the My suggestion would be to do two 8s for the center if I were to do it again. I think the duals have a great sound but need a little more low frequency detail

It is not possible to buy a tower from McGavin that has an 8 inch driver. My plan is to buy these and build wooden towers out of MDF or something similar. Are you sure this is a good idea?

Obviously when you are using two 8" speakers, you do not want to vent anything. Make sure you have a reliable Thiel-style vent unless you are using the whole system on a regular basis. The box has only a few parameters, but I would definitely recommend packing it with AcoustiStuff or something Micca published T-but I can't recall if she did Although there are no S numbers for the woofer, since it is designed to be mounted in a wall, I assume it is designed for Hope you have a good time!

The center channel speaker is great! First of all, let me say that I own a production company and have (and have used) a lot of very high-end Especially when you need to run your speakers at or near their maximum rated power, the quality of the speakers makes a huge difference, especially in high output production sound systems

The subject of home theater systems (which I'll discuss in this article) isn't the same thing. Voicie a few tips, as well as a few tips for the speakers (2) There is no need to worry about power handling for speakers for home theaters. In addition to how many watts a speaker can handle, there are many other factors that contribute to "loudness". truth of the matter is, most people will never come close to the maximum speaker power of a home theater speaker, and most will suffice for most home theater purposes. This is not the case for these speakers. The speakers are plenty loud, I haven't even run them near their maximum power rating and they still handle it without any issues. (2) Nearly every school in the country has some kind of a newspaper The sound from a wall speaker is going to be better overall than the sound from most sound bars. It is true that there may be exceptions in the very high price category. You cannot compare something in a relatively similar price range with anything in the same price range There is always going to be a preference for wall speakers. What's the reason? That's because they are larger. It's not always better to go bigger, however when it comes to low end frequency response (A. A good set for a good low-end response, these large woofers are no exception. (3) The larger of the two The 25" woofers in the center channel contribute to the great sound quality! Center channel speakers have a larger woofer than the side channels If the drivers are smaller or the sound bar is smaller), the low end will be stronger. The kick and punch won't be the same as those found in a smaller woofer, but we're talking more than I expected. It has a good response at the low end, and sounds pretty The following are four example sentences (1) This is a worthwhile investment of time and effort. I really debated whether to do it in-built Due to the simplicity of a sound bar, I kept thinking that I should install wall speakers in my most recent renovation. However, I am really happy I reversed my decision. There is no comparison between the sound from these speakers and that from my sound bar. As an added bonus, I could keep them out of the reach of the kids as well as create a bit more space (and paint the grills matching). (
) Buy an affordable speaker and save up your money for something meaningful. You have lots of options and a wide range of prices when it comes to speakers. If you buy a more affordable speaker (like these), you will have a lot of extra money left over and still have a great sound This is a great set of speakers that sound good, look good, and are an excellent price. The purchase I made has been a great experience.

Before ordering, make sure your cutout dimensions are accurate, and check the studs with a stud finder

Once you have your system tuned, then you can start using it. The speakers are front and rear surround sound speakers, and I have just installed four of them. Here's what you need to know Getting over the initial "OMG there's a hole in the drywall I have to cut perfectly" attack and getting past the "OMG there's a hole in the drywall" you can see they are fairly forgiving regarding I mounted my speakers in a wall that is accessible from my attic so I can hear them from the back. Thanks to the stud spacing to which I was able to refer, which wasn't always 16 inches Also, I was removing the existing speaker jacks and mounting brackets that were installed when the home was built. I used drywall tabs that were included with the speakers, along with the tip provided by a customer who used drywall screws that were #8 x 3 fine thread. There are pictures of his technique in the reviews (this may sound complicated, but search the reviews for more details). It was a real bonus that there was already copper wiring of 12 AWG to each of the speaker locations so that we were able to get Thanks for providing that information! I will be adding a back enclosure to each of 'em to make them easier to access from Even though the bass performance is not bad with a response down to 40 Hz now, I believe it will help improve bass performance. It has great sound quality and is able to handle a lot of power, which makes me very pleased with it. It will hurt your ears if you listen to these things. Together with an Energy Take 5, they make up a complete system. A Sony STRDA2-powered center channel speaker and two side channel speakers Right now, we are using an ES receiver. Once I get a new TV and new furniture, I will install a Micca center channel speaker. I am extremely satisfied with the speakers, especially for the money I paid about $200 or so for four speakers. I have updated the post on March 19th to reflect the following In addition to my Energy Take 8, I added my Energy Take 10. I ran wiring back to the receiver and attached two subwoofers to the system. In the following two hours, I spent some well-invested time figuring out how to properly set up my surround sound speakers and tune them through the receiver settings. I am amazed at how much has changed. I first installed these speakers for my wife and she wasn't a fan of the sound, but after tuning them for distance, size, Hz crossover, etc. the speakers are now Despite sounding boomy, a subwoofer just beefs up the bottom end without getting too boomy, and the system itself is incredibly clear. Earlier today, I was thinking about upgrading my receiver, but it just got tossed out! In order to purchase a TV, I will use the money.

This is Atmos for the win! As a result of the great reviews and low prices for these speakers, I ordered them
5/5

I am fortunate enough to live in a single story home where it's very easy to move the speakers into My installation was difficult due to a fireblock in the wall that had to be pulled for cables, however the templates that came with them were very useful and could even be cut out to fit inside the speakers so that the exterior could be painted, which was In a 5, I have them setup. Two sets, one using Atmos with an OLED LG and the other using an Onkyo 676, and they are truly clear. My heart rate was racing as I watched Netflix's punisher during its firefight scene in Afghanistan. As described, the buttons are extremely large, but the construction is great on the housing of the boxes and the tabs are no where near as cheap as cut-in electrical boxes. This product is great. I highly recommend it and it is packaged well.
