This can be used as a center channel and will not require an enclosure since it can be cut into the wall. However, it might be better to select a speaker that is advertised as a center channel instead. This one is a great front or rear speaker, but there are better speakers you could use for center, and you don't need to get a pair and try to use them all.
in our ceiling so that we could use them as front speakers L/R/C as well as rear speakers L/R. All locations work fine with them. Those speakers won't pull paint off the walls, but if you a looking for very loud speakers, then you might want to go for one that is

I am not a professional, but I have installed dozens of in-house applications At my own home over the years, and at friends' and family's homes - I have numerous ceiling speakers The options are mainly at the low and mid levels. The Polk rcis I got are to provide background audio in another room of my house, where the Polk rcis are mostly installed. Normally I would choose the Polos, but the price recently went up so I thought I'd go with these in a rarely used room. This speaker's frame is very rigid and solid. These speakers are far superior to other speakers at their current price point of under 50 dollars and to ceiling speakers that I've spent two to three times as much My thick plaster ceiling could be gripped easily with the retention clamps, which showed almost no deflection and were not in the way during installation. There was only one downside to installation Finding a way to get the grilles It is unfortunate that I did not find the sound quality to be very good. It's not clear how anyone could justify their list price for such a pair when there are so many better options available, but they are still acceptable for under $100 a pair. These cheapo Pyle and acoustic audio speakers sound better and less tinny than these low end Klipsch ones, but the frames are so flimsy on them. It is impossible to get great bass with a ceiling speaker, but it is almost impossible to get decent These are present with them. In the tweeter, harshness is picked up, while the midrange is bloated, adding more mud to the Rather than being used as high-level instrumentals, these seem more appropriate for background music. Much like the music played on This weekend, I'm going to try out some backboxes to see if it improves the low end. As others have mentioned, these do not have a real crossover as they just have a capacitor on the tweeter like a low-end car audio speaker. Given the current price of these speakers, I don't think that this is an issue. I have used ceiling speakers of a similar configuration with satisfactory.
I consider this to be a pretty good sound for an entry level There is a speaker mounted in the ceiling. The speaker I selected would be best described as a light duty speaker for a small room in an office Don't expect it to have full bass and treble, but it produces some sound. The music is ok, but don't get me excited about it This is amazing. You can use it if you need a little audio for a reasonable price. When I turned up the volume very loud, it did not sound good, so I would not recommend it for surround sound or home audio, but I found it adequate for light duty.
There is nothing I love more than Having trouble with my Bose speakers, so I bought 5 of these to replace them. I liked the Bose speakers, but the boxes protruding from my ceiling were not to my taste. It was a breeze to install these after cutting the holes. Their sound quality is equal to or better than those of Bose speakers that I would recommend it.
I have more expensive Klipsch speakers in another room, but I installed this speaker in the kitchen since I didn't care as much about sound quality. It wasn't possible to hear any difference between the two locations when I listened to music. These speakers aren't as cheap as they seem, but they are great.
A spare bedroom was fitted with these in the ceiling. The template that was used to cut the material was accurate. There's nothing to be shocked about Easy to install and mount snugly to the ceiling This is also typical of other manufacturers I've worked with, so it shouldn't be a big reason to complain. The speaker cover is a tight fit, but not too bad. It's easy to adjust volume levels and is clean even at the lowest listening levels.
In the end, the sound is warm, louder than I might like, and a bit distorted. The quality of the product is excellent.
Taking a close look at the picture, my Klipsch is at the foreground and the old ceiling speakers are in the background. Despite their greater size, I did have to enlarge the hole in order to fit them, but they were easy to install and the wire connection was simple and secure. A bigger magnet is going to handle the volume better. The sound quality is much clearer.
Bought a pair of these at 50$ apiece for an Atmos 5 system. The setup consists of two pieces. Getting the speakers installed was really simple (the hardest part was running the cables, but that has nothing to do with which speakers you install). It is like being in a theater. They are amazing and give one a real sense of being there.
In my case, I ordered two types of speakers, needed five total, in my basement four of another kind and one from this type, both my same price, but the other pair was sold in a four-pack. Whether you love a great sound or not, having four extras makes all the difference! I sent the other back and ordered four more!.
