HDMI 2 is not capable of passing this through. A firmware upgrade will only increase the number by 1. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series 30 were designed to send uncompressed signals. An uncompressed signal cannot be passed through these AVRs since the hardware will not allow them to. Having a bad attitude is only going to get you into trouble. We will upgrade only when it has been verified to work with the next-generation.

I have updated It is possible that 120/4K update will never be released. As of right now I am just setting it up, but so far I am very To make sure you are setting up and using the MusicCast app correctly, be sure to download it. I had to try a couple of times before being able to connect.
The MusicCast app allows you to set everything up easily. I automatically found and integrated the receiver with my new X900H system via the integration wizard. There are a number of settings you can adjust for each input. It is inexpensive and easy to use my iPad to play music on my Bluetooth I like the unit because it is bigger than that of my V373, and it is shiny rather than Is there anything I can help with? If so, please don't hesitate to ask. A brief update As of 12/03/2020, it appears that all the new AVR's were built with chips that may not be capable of delivering full 4K at 120Hz. As of now, Yamaha says there will be a future update to fix this problem, but I'm now wondering if I bought a failed product. I'd hold off on buying until the issue is resolved. Using eARC to route the audio from an Xbox or PS5 to your TV is as easy as connecting the device to your TV. It is not necessary to purchase this receiver if you already own an eARC-compatible There is a chance they'll offer a new receiver for those of us who own these receivers, if the firmware update does not address 120/4K full support. Apparently, they could offer a lower color range while still supporting In the event that we aren't able to get what we paid for, then give us a free upgrade or refund.

Receivers are connected to Sony X900H via the Zeskit 8k Cable, running PS5 (Direct to A/V via eArc Port 3) eArc eArc) There is a problem with functionality and we hope to have it fixed in a I switched to TV speakers and there is no audio drop. I confirm that the audio drop only occurs There have been reports of the same problem with Samsung and LG TVs. The color banding is as follows While running the PS5 in HDMI mode 1, there is a fair amount of color banding. By changing to HDMI mode 2, you will be able to eliminate it. In the receiver's statement, it states "I'm going from YCbCr 4" For YCbCr 4, a 2 to There is a problem with HDR. I have tested this with Demon Souls, and the sky has extreme color banding. I have also tested it with 4K UHD Amazon Prime videos. I have tested the PS5 direct to an X900H and have not experienced any color banding or high dynamic range issues. There are a number of issues with this receiver, but the audio processing and sound quality are excellent for the price. Their next firmware update should resolve these problems.

Don't bother with the other reviews! There has just been a firmware update for this receiver, it can pass through HDR10+ and 4K on.

This is so far an impressive site. AV receivers are among the 3rd most beloved products I own. I bought this one as my 4th purchase. As a direct comparison to my previous Pioneers, this one's bass response sounds much better in movies and music, and more accurate than anything I've heard from them before. This new scene feature, while not a thing new to Yamaha, is a thing that is brand new for me, so I'm eager to use it. As the YPAO auto calibration revealed the speaker distances were accurately within , the speaker distances were stunningly accurate. There is a margin of error of 5ft. In order to overlap my front towers and my subwoofer smoothly, I increased the crossover frequency to 120 hz instead of the default 80 hz. With this receiver paired up with the Andrew Jones line of pioneer speakers and a 12" 150W subwoofer in my large living room (vaulted ceilings, wide open design to the kitchen), I get the feeling of being in a movie theater. It isn't great that there are no presets for music or movie, and the weird dsp effects. With those "enhancements", the sound is the worst it can be.

A cut in and out of audio occurs regardless of the channel. It was important for me to have the capability of streaming as well as other devices which I have. sets itself apart from the standard products in a connected house that work together in the real world. There is nothing useful about this technology. This is a good receiver, but it does not warrant the extra cost for the system to be connected. I have updated As of now, audio starts cutting out after 30 seconds The following 60 seconds are for recording purposes. The very least is that it is maddening.

There are graphical elements that could have been added to things like the speaker setup, but could've been made more compact and the user interface needs improvement. There is still no 4K120 firmware and there is no reason that they cannot add Dolby Atmos support for the V4A like they did for the V6A.
