This isn't a definitive answer because I'm not familiar with the hardware to which you're connecting this cable. To begin, make sure your monitor is set up to scan for the active input port when you turn it on. There are a few. You can make it the default, but what happens when it comes to the Source Device is a different story. You must ensure that Thunderbolt port capability is enabled in BIOS/CMOS setup on some computer equipment. The video controls on the operating system should also be enabled, as well as the drivers. br>br>The most common solution I've heard/read on the internet has been to turn off everything and disconnect it from all AC power for a while. (I've even heard a ridiculous suggestion of 24 hours.) After that, turn on your monitor and then your computer/game device, and they should theoretically start communicating with each other. If not, contact your computer support team, who will be able to assist you in resolving the problem. In any event, The cable would be the last thing on my mind. This is beneficial to you, Pope.
It depends on whether your monitor and the device you're connecting to it both have display port plugs, which most do. This cable appears to be backwards compatible with 1. It should work with any device that can deliver 4K at 60Hz or 2K at 165Hz via a single DP port. The cable is 4K UHD rated and comes highly recommended by gamers.br>
The cable couldn't handle my LG Ultragear 32" 1920x1080 gaming monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate. I ordered it because I needed the extra length, but that could be a contributing factor in the problem. The monitor began pixilating and eventually went black after about an hour of use with this new cable. I replaced my original DP cable and everything was fine, but I wouldn't recommend this product if you have high-end gaming hardware.

I bought these solely because they are long and I work at a standing desk. The lack of a latch on this cable was the first thing I noticed. DisplayPort cables are supposed to latch into the port and have a release button that you press to release it. I went ahead and tried the cable, and it was indeed loose in both my monitor and GPU. The screen flickered, and I only used it for a minute before giving up and using the cables that came with the monitor. Then I went to the DisplayPort website to see if the manufacturer was VESA certified. br>br> They aren't, as you might expect. They just churn out garbage that may or may not work depending on how tight your ports are, hoping you'll be too lazy to return the cable. br>br>If you want your cables to stay connected, don't buy them. Look for cables with buttons on the end, as these should have latches like DisplayPort cables.
This cable has the same specs as the monitor 1 and 2 stock cables. This cable is connected to monitor number three. The stock cable's only flaw is its short length, which is why I purchased this one. It appears to be a high-quality cable that, more importantly, can support these HIGH-DENSITY applications. capabilities of end monitors.
I bought it for development rather than gaming. I have an LG widescreen curved monitor and needed something that would work right away, which it did.
I don't need it to run underneath my trailer; all I want it to do is sit quietly behind my desk, out of sight. Those who produce: start focusing on cables that are thinner, more flexible, and have fewer features? br>br>Anyway, because it was so stiff, I had trouble routing it through a pivoting LCD mount. Actually, it routed fine, but it's so thick that I couldn't reduce the bend radius to keep it from protruding beneath my monitor. Because the overmold is so thick, it puts a strain on the monitor's DP connection. I'm not going to buy anything else in the future.
This was not in a particularly demanding application; it was never kinked, and the tightest bend measured about 3 inches. After 6 months of being rotated with the monitor arm a few times a day, it developed a short. br>br>I can't believe the two cables are priced so similarly; the build quality is incomparable. The JSAUX appears to be twice as expensive as the Amazon-branded version. The sheath on the JSAUX is braided, the cable is thicker and heavier, and the cable ends are metal with good bend reinforcement. Overall, the JSAUX has a far superior appearance and feel to the Amazon device. I haven't had a chance to test the JSAUX cable's durability yet because I've only had it for a few days, but I expect it to last a long time. If the JSAUX has any issues, I will update this review. br>br>In terms of functionality, both cables work flawlessly at 1440p 120hz, so the amazon cable would be fine for runs that aren't moved around much, but the JSAUX cable is about the same price. Unless the Amazon cable drops to around $8, I wouldn't recommend it.
It's uncommon to come across a cable as well-made as this one at this price. As others have mentioned, the braided cable is a little stiff, but in my case, that works to the cable's advantage because of the only flaw I discovered with it: because there isn't a locking mechanism DisplayPort connections have always been the most finicky of any video transmission cable I've ever used. Because there is no way to secure the cable, it can become dislodged in a variety of situations, which was a problem for my setup. However, because the cable is stiff, you should be able to bend it in a way that minimizes the chances of the cable not fully seating. Despite only using it on the rare occasions when I require two monitors' worth of screen real estate, I've been very pleased with how it performs thus far. For the sake of illustration, this cable connects a 4K@60Hz monitor. While I think I'd prefer a cable with a latch mechanism, I'd still buy this one again because the price is great and the signal it sends is consistent.
I've been buying JSAUX cables for a while now, everything from RCAs to USBs, and I've been very pleased with the quality. For my new monitor, I needed a display port cable, so I grabbed this 10-foot cable. It is, without a doubt, the best display port cable I have ever encountered. The cable is extremely thick, and the sleeve is silver braided. The connectors are extremely strong and have a heavy-duty construction. They have a sense of obligation about them. This cable screams "high quality" from beginning to end, and I am confident that it will last a very long time. This cable brand comes highly recommended by me. They've never let me down or failed me before, and I'm confident that this new cable will uphold JSAUX's definition of "high quality. ".
It does what it says. Plugs occupy less space than other types of connectors. The cable has a great appearance. The plugs themselves aren't as deep as those on some of the other cables. br>(It's useful to me because the space in the back of the tower is limited, and it's also suitable for some monitor/TV mounts. ) )br>It has a lot of flexibility, but it also has a lot of rigidity.
