Although it is said that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, this enticing cable may prove to be an exception: It's a hefty cable that feels like it's built like a tank on the inside, while it's beautiful and refined on the outside. br>br>I had my doubts that it could deliver 4k images @ 60Hz over 10 feet (3. 3 meters) vanished as soon as I connected my CalDigit TS3 Plus dock to my Dell P2715Q monitor and increased the display resolution on my iMac to its maximum setting. The end result was perfectly stable 4k video, with my monitor's on-screen display confirming the 60Hz refresh rate. display on the screen br>br>This is my second iVANKY cable, and it has proven to be just as good as the first. the same level of quality as the first. If you're looking for a long-lasting, high-performing, and attractive device, look no further. DP-looking This could be the cable for you if you need a DP cable without secure locking clips. br>br>The only warning I have is that the weight of this cable comes at the expense of some flexibility. While it's flexible enough to use in a VESA mounting arm that can be adjusted, it's probably not the best choice for making very narrow U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U Turns or sharp right angles are examples.
I bought this to hide some of the cables that run across my computer; it looks great and functions well. For those concerned about lag, you won't notice it; I believe it takes 50 meters of dp cable to notice a difference of a second.
I purchased two brand new curved monitors with a resolution of 2k and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. I also purchased two of these iVANKY display port cables, as I needed a long cable to route around my standing desk properly. br>br>I tried for hours to get both monitors to run at 2k at 165hz. I tried updating drivers, using a different port on my graphics card, and so on. br>br>I was worried it was my monitor, but when I tried the 3' cable that came with the monitor, it worked fine; apparently, one cable isn't "good enough" with display port cables. Especially if the cables are long (I was using 15 foot cables, so I'm guessing that's it). br>br>After a few days, here's an update: br>br>I wanted to go with a different brand, but I decided on the ivanky 8k black cable instead. They're a little more expensive, but they're much more durable, and the connectors are cold metal rather than plastic. Both of those worked perfectly. br>br>If you need a long cable, invest in a higher-quality cable. Otherwise, you're taking a chance.
My two monitors both ran at 1440p and 144hz without any issues. I was able to run displayport 1 without any problems. This DSP is worth 4 points. 2 cable, as long as I don't go over the limit of 1. 2 spec. So 1440p 165hz would cause stutters, but 144hz wouldn't, and I wouldn't have to change my monitors 1. This cable only needed four DSP input settings to work, and it did. br>br>However, there are a few issues with it.
1. 1. a Display Port 2 cable came with my monitor when I bought it, so for an aftermarket cable, I'd look for the cheapest one that would do the job, or a higher-end cable with more features.
2. There is no locking mechanism, which could be a pro or a con depending on your perspective. For me, this is a negative feature.
3. Because my monitor is right next to my computer, I'd prefer a 3ft or 3ft monitor. 3 ft of cable
4. A $5 barebones cable can be found at Monoprice. It's worth $00, and it's got a lock on it. I can't speak for the quality of their construction, but as someone who enjoys thick, braided cables, this is a letdown. When compared to a hdmi cable, the colors are much more vibrant. I'm using an Asus curved 27-inch monitor.
Great cable for the money, and their 54-month warranty when registered is unbeatable. It's not braided, but it gets the job done. In comparison to some thick ones I've used in the past, this one is nice and thin; overall, it's a good buy!.
This cable is of excellent quality and has a lot more flexibility than most DisplayPort cables. I've been using it for a few months and haven't run into any problems.
