It will, in fact. That is precisely what I intend to do with it.
Without a doubt! In fact, this cable is overkill, but it will come in handy if you decide to upgrade your monitor in the future. If my memory serves me correctly, it supports 1080p through 4K @ 240Hz.
The wire used in the 8K DP cable is 28AWG.

When I enabled 10bpc at 240Hz on my RTX 3080 and Samsung Odyssey G7, I got a black screen. Everything works perfectly now that I'm using this cable.
a high degree of resolution Monitors with a high refresh rate? It's no problem for this cable! The Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor was a recent purchase for me. It's a 5120x1440@120Hz monitor, and I had some issues with the Samsung cable that came with it. Blips, flashes, flicker, etc. suggested that the signal was loose and would get worse over time, so I decided to try a new cable after fiddling with the monitor settings, game settings, video card settings, and so on. br>br>I put a CableMatters 8K cable to the test. I was having similar problems and was about to return the monitor when I decided to try a different cable. All of my issues vanished when I got this cable! I haven't had any problems with my new monitor since I started using this cable! br>br>Excellent quality, dependable, and attractive! (I'm a sucker for cables with braided fabric. ).
The cable itself is of excellent quality, with beautiful braiding and reasonable flexibility. Nonetheless. br>br> br>This cable caused me so many problems that I almost thought my monitor was broken. br>It does not wake up the monitor when it is in standby mode. br>It doesn't auto-detect the monitor during boot, especially if HDR and 240hz are turned on. The monitor must be turned on by pressing the power button. br>It can cause BSOD during booting or after a long period of inactivity. wake up. br>On this Gsync-enabled device, there are times when it has trouble detecting Gsync. monitor that can be used br>br>All of the above issues were resolved by using the monitor's stock cable that came with the G9. br>Although this cable is capable of handling 5120x1440 @ 240hz with HDR (with Display Stream Compression), the inconveniences listed above are not worth the trouble in my case. EDIT: br>br> I discovered that the problem with wake up, DSC, and multimonitors was caused by an Nvidia driver issue. The stock cable was also affected by the wake-up issues.
Because I'm only using it for 1440p @144Hz, I can't comment on 4k or 8k. I like that the connectors are gold and will not corrode, and that they don't have a locking mechanism, which I find to be inconvenient and a bad idea in general.
On my new Samsung 28" 4K IPS Monitor, this cable provided a fantastic picture. I can't vouch for the cable at higher stress levels of 4K 144Hz or newer 8K monitors because this monitor only runs at 75Hz. There were no signs of problems with fast motion video, and the picture was crisp and clear. br>br>Display Port 1 is still used on the majority of new monitors. This is a DP 1, and it's number two. 4 cable. So I'm curious if anyone could put it through its paces with DP 1. 4 features are available, as well as higher refresh rates. If it works with these features, I'd say the cable is "Future Proof," as another reviewer put it. br>br>The cable is appealing, and I particularly like the red-colored version. I use colored ends because I have a lot of cables and it makes it easier to distinguish between them. br>br>The only drawback is that, in comparison to the many DP and HDMI cables I own, this cable is fairly thick and ridged, contrary to what it appears in the picture. I had to bend it with two hands to fit it into a vertical, recessed DP port; however, the cable that came with my Samsung monitor is generic and thinner, and it works flawlessly at 4K 74Hz. (However, this cable is unlikely to hold up in the future. ) br>br>I recommend the monoprice, which is also DP 1, for a more flexible cable. 4, $4 less expensive, and comes in a 10-foot length. length.
It's roughly twice as thick as a standard braided display port cable. This also means it won't be the most adaptable thing in the world. br>If you're looking for a high-resolution gaming experience with fast frame rates, this is a great choice. On a 1440p panel with a 165hz refresh rate, I'm running it. It may be a little excessive, but it handled everything without a hitch. br>I'm also relieved that there aren't any hooks to keep it in place. That's the only thing I've ever had issues with. br>For the price, I'm very pleased with it.
Only a sporadic connection can be made with this cable. With this cable connected, my display went in and out all the time. I double-checked that both connection points were properly seated before switching ports. The signal would drop out even if the cable was physically disturbed in the slightest way. I tried tying this cable in with other cables (using velcro straps) to give it more support, but it didn't help. I have ZERO issues with a cheap cable, which is disappointing given that I paid more for the more expensive cable. br>br>In order to improve connection reliability, the manufacturer will need to install retention clips on the plugs. It's obvious that they didn't test this product thoroughly enough before releasing it.
The cord wore out after about 6 months, so if you plan to use it for a long time, BUY A NEW ONE. They won't let you return after one month, and it broke after about six months, despite the fact that I was very gentle with the cord and never unplugged it or anything. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT DUE TO BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A BAD PRODUCT.
