Hello, Yes, this weather radio has an alert function; to set the NOAA weather alert, please follow the steps below.br>(1) Turn on the emergency radio by pressing the power button long enough. This emergency radio does, in fact, have a very loud volume. At first, I'm a little nervous because it's difficult to believe that such a small radio can produce such a loud sound.
NOAA alert mode is something I'm not familiar with. The radio can play for up to 20 minutes, according to the instruction booklet. When the radio is fully charged, it will last for 22 hours (at medium volume).

I needed something to keep in my RV in case of an emergency. I already had a Midland er210, which is a good emergency radio, but the sound quality is so poor that after a minute or two, it becomes irritating. In every way, this radio is identical to the er210, except for the sound quality, which is, well, adequate. Surprisingly, for a radio the size of the er210, it performs admirably.
