Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how long the unit is?

This makes it roughly 25mm (1 inch) (1 inch excluding the cable connector) when it comes to the triple flange eartips.

Is it possible to remove the cables from the earplugs? If so, does it come with a normal short cord? It would be great if I could use it on Is that okay?

They can be detached, yes. Mobile phones are easily connected to this device via the cable and it comes with a normal length cable.

Could you please tell me if there are ?

This should be the case. For more about Etymotic, please contact us.

Selected User Reviews For Etymotic Research ER2XR Extended Response High Performance In-Ear Earphones (Detachable Dynamic Drivers, Noise Isolating, High Accuracy, Robust Low Frequencies)

This is an outstanding value
5/5

While I have reviewed dozens of headphones and earphones ranging in price from $2 to well over $1000, the ER2XR is probably my second favorite IEM of all time. The ProPhile 8 still takes the cake for me, but it also costs Dunu DK - The 3001 is another exceptionally good-looking model In addition to being more expensive than the Etymotic, the Soundset is also a superior sound set. The ER2XR is the perfect middle ground between these two IEMs for me.

The Dunu is lovely and coherent, but it can occasionally sound artificial in the upper treble regions due to the subtle overheating of the device. On the other hand, the PP8 is more natural and Therefore, I find the ER2XR right in the middle between those two. There's the coherence I like about the Dunu, but it has a more natural signature that makes it move more in the direction of the PP8, but with what feels like a bit more I do not feel overdone at all. There is a deft touch to the details, while the bass remains in control and has the capacity to provide a punch when needed. While the sound stage does suffer a bit with this set of IEMs that require deep insertion, it's a pretty typical result. It is also excellent in terms of noise isolation, but that also contributes to narrowing the stereo image perception. At a price of around $130, I really don't see how any other IEM can compete with.

Considering the cost and the many people who have access to it, it cannot be beat
5/5

A brief history. As an IEM enthusiast I entered the hobby 15 years ago. I wasn't a fanatic but I certainly had a high level of interest. These are some of the items I have owned In addition to the Westone 2, Westone 3, Westone 40, Westone 60, you will all be reviewing Shure 215, Shure 845*, Ultimate ears (pre-Logitech), custom IEM (still have them), This is a round robin with the non-round robins Using all the tips known to man for customs, I already know everything I need to know. It is true that I have owned an amplifier or two. This is my first time getting ER2XRs and I can't believe how great they are. Would you consider them fun to listen to? It is true. Do they lie flat and are they NOT AT ALL. Would you say that they sound good? Do you agree? Can they be forgiving if recordings and devices are used? Yes, I agree! I think this is the best option you can buy if you want sound-isolating IEMs that you can use straight out of your phone and listen to 192 AAC (iTunes) or a step up from that (but still short of flac, etc. ). I just don't have it in me anymore to take on the whole boat. If you buy that, you should consider a DAC, lossless files, and perhaps an amplifier. Even though I'm almost 50 years old, I just find the difference between the best case and worst case tests not that big. Even if your recordings are not great or the source isn't perfect, these can create higher quality results without breaking the bank. I say this with all the love I have for a song, because if you use all the high end equipment and the recording isn't good, you can drain every bit of joy from it. The mid level IEMs (and other mid level songs) are always reminding you of the music's origins. Those moments still take your breath away from time to time.

Bass is strong yet not Beats' level (whether you like it or not is another question). the bass powerful and alive. I think the mids are a bit recessed. I mentioned before that it is a fun sound profile. Is your U or V shape? There is a lot of form factor in these. The first pair of ETYs I've ever owned. It also means you can put them and the headphone to lightning cable into a tiny pouch or case that takes up no space. These IEMs come with an easy seal that will not slowly pull out as many universal IEMs do. -1000x do not come with a mic or volume buttons, and this is probably the biggest drawback. I think many people are looking for a middle ground at this price point We sometimes listen critically and we use the phone daily, which unfortunately sometimes requires us to talk to people over the telephone.

It has awesome sound quality, but lousy customer support, as of First of all, I bought another pair because one of my other pairs As a result, they offer an inefficient customer service
3/5

The do not get in touch with you. In my original pair of ear buds, a style of ear bud was missing. I emailed once regarding this. There is nothing. Having submitted the warranty process, I contacted them a week later. That was the only contact I received. There was a problem with the headphones, but I can't give an explanatory reason why, but if you don't cover it or repair them, tell the customer as soon as possible, don't disregard the customer.

I again want to say that the sound quality is incredible. Even though I have had similarly priced headphones for years, I hear a level of clarity I have never heard before. Yamaha, Grado, NAD, MHA, and these are some of the brands. I was amazed at the details even after they had taken so long to burn in. There is no sound I cannot hear. I find the sound signature to be less than perfect. They are not forward. Perhaps this is just a personal preference, but I prefer something that is No matter how they were done, they were still excellent. Anything with a guitar and distortion gets my attention, be it rock, metal, or techno. These sound smooth, detailed, but they're a little lackluster in the bass department. Although I like them, a bass head is not going to enjoy them. In terms of sound quality, it gets a 5/5, but the build quality is questionable and the customer service is dismal. The following dates are to be noted 1/23/20 As an update, I have already noticed a loss of volume in the right earpiece in the second pair I bought. The tunes are great for my office, I listen to them with an mp3 player from FiiO and a tube headphone amplifier. all there is to There is a noticeable drop in fidelity and quietness. It is a true disappointment for me. Keep your money in your pocket.

The right move
5/5

Until $500, it is impossible to find a better deal than these. In light of this, I typically favor ER2XR with foam tips rather than ER4XR. The timbre is excellent, the resolution is good, the midrange is nice, the treble rolls off a bit and the bass response is excellent. My review is based on my own experience and I have iems that cost a lot more than these do. I'm glad Etymotic is doing so well!.
