There's nothing better than this stuff. This product thins down the Vallejo and Citadel model paints that I use. In addition, I've started thinning down the little acrylic paints that come in my paint by number kits with it. Water doesn't affect the pigments like it does when it is added. I really like what you're doing.
This works well for taking the shine off of models that have finish or paint on them. It is also effective when a transfer is protected with Ardcoat, then the Lahmian Medium is used to achieve a matte finish.
As far as I am concerned, this works perfectly I add just a little of this, mixed with a little paint on my wet palette, to thin down the paint just enough. This process allows me to create several thin layers on the miniature while preserving all the details. It's fine to use a little water on occasion, and I do that too sometimes, but this is more effective.
The acrylic paint thinner is perfect for thinning miniature acrylic paints. If your paint needs to be diluted a lot, as you'd need to when making a glaze, it keeps from falling apart completely.
You should have this product on hand if you're If you use a few drops of this instead of water, you will still be able to keep strong pigments in your paint. It's just that if you paint a lot, you'll use a lot of paint.
The product did what it was supposed to do, and the shipper did a good job packaging it.
A new pot of paint was not used in this experiment, it was an opened pot of paint A regular tape is used to seal the package. Additionally, I do not remember it being a new bottle of paint as there was no mention of it during shipping.
I just wanted to let you know I was happy with the price. The seller has a good reputation and I would purchase from them.
