Yes, it's flawless. I just bought an 8th generation and have this case to go with it.
That's correct! However, it appears to be simple to take down if desired! It is DEFINITELY worth purchasing and removing from your home! It was thrown down the stairwell by my daughter 15 minutes ago. 20 steps? And it was fine; however, the previous case for the previous iPad broke the screen simply by leaning on it. So, there you have it.
Almost all of it is hard plastic, with the exception of the back, which has a thin layer of rubber over the hard plastic. I believe it's to make it less slick. The case is very sturdy and well-protected.

Unfortunately, the case was unable to save the iPad when it was dropped.
I recently purchased this case for my iPad 7th generation, and it appears to be nearly indestructible. In fact, it's so well-made that even installing it on the iPad takes about 30 minutes. br>br>INSTALLATION - Remove the case's stand.
- Take off the cover's silicone rim. Until I took my fingernail out, I couldn't figure out how to remove the silicone rim. to remove it from the track that circles the entire top of the case It is peeled away from the very edge.
- To open the case, unhinge the tiny snaps (as indicated by the arrows) all around it. My stubby fingernails proved useful once more. The iPad cannot be inserted until this is done.
- Place the iPad in the case that is already open. Make sure it's facing the right way based on the case's orientation.
- DO NOT remove the clear plastic case top's plastic film that covers the home button. I was unaware of this and removed it, which resulted in glue damage to the cover (photos). With the exception of one side, where a large amount of glue residue was left behind, it removed cleanly. The plastic film was partially up before I even started removing it, and it's typical of the type of film I see covering watch faces, etc. , so I removed it because the manual didn't say not to.
- Re- Snap the top into place by fastening it.
- Re- Glue the silicone rim in place. Make sure the rim is pulled up and over the top of the case once more, and the silicone edge is pushed into the case's track. The case will not be properly sealed if it is not properly seated in the track. In regards to the large smear of glue residue left by the thin plastic film that covered the home button. I contacted support to see what I could do to get rid of the residue, but they couldn't recommend anything because the iPad was inside; they did say hand sanitizer might work because it contains alcohol, but that shouldn't be used on the iPad. A damp rag, as well as a rag soaked in water, were ineffective. This irritates me greatly because it detracts from the overall appearance of the case. They are, however, sending me a replacement case along with the possibility of a return label for the "old" damaged case. When I receive the new case, I will update my review. br>br>The stand is detachable and comes with two height settings that can be used in four different configurations. This means that the iPad can be used in either portrait or landscape mode with the low stand. After that, the stand can be turned around to stand the iPad up. either in a portrait or in a landscape position. I prefer the landscape position for both heights because I feel like the iPad will fall if I use it in portrait mode. br>br>It's also worth noting that if you're storing the stand in the case, it's not easy to snap it on and off. It takes some time and effort, and while it can be snapped onto the case for portability, I chose not to do so due to the difficulty. Instead, I simply place the stand on top of the iPad to make it easier to use. br>br>In conclusion, this is an excellent case that provides excellent iPad protection. It's a big case. It's almost as if you're carrying around an old laptop. With the iPad in landscape mode, I like how low the stand angle is. In fact, I only like the stand in this position because it allows me to type on the iPad as if it were a keyboard. However, the glue left behind from the plastic circle strip that covered the home button, which I should not have removed but which was not mentioned in the manual, is causing me great concern. I would have given this four stars if the glue hadn't destroyed my cover. I would have given this 5 stars if there was no glue residue on the cover and the stand was not so heavy. Personally, I prefer a case with a built-in stand. This necessitates a separate setup every time. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Regarding the home button sticker I removed, I've updated my previous review. Because it is a fully enclosed system, according to Otter Box, it was not supposed to be removed. I requested that they change their documentation to reflect this so that others do not make the same error I did. I'll post another update once my new case arrives, and if it's satisfactory, I'll raise this review to four stars. br>br>2/29/20 UPDATE - I finally received my replacement Otter Box, which works perfectly; however, I've learned not to remove the plastic film covering the Home Button, even if it appears to be falling off or should come off.
I recently received this and was disappointed to discover that it was defective before I had a chance to use it. The hinge is dislocated, and I can't seem to get it back into place without damaging it. Before being sent out, I assumed these items would go through some sort of quality control.
An iPad is protected by an armor plate. Shock-absorbing material around the edges, a hard back, and built-in screen savor provide full coverage. The screen is protected by a hard snap-on cover that can be removed to reveal a stand with two display angles. The only drawback is that installing it on an iPad requires more intelligence than the case. You must pry the soft rubber sides away from the hard back edges, then insert the iPad and replace the shock-absorbing edging.
The screen is protected by the removable front cover, so you can throw it in a bag without fear of it being shattered. Protector that is extremely long lasting.
Otterbox products have always provided excellent protection for our electronic devices and have never let us down. We've never broken a screen or damaged one of our electronic devices. They're a little bulky, but as long as they protect our belongings, we'll put up with it.
That, I believe, will be difficult to achieve with this. She's had it for about six weeks and is fine. If you purchase an iPad, you will undoubtedly require good protection, such as that provided by this case, which is thick and sturdy rather than flimsy. However, be aware that it will significantly increase the weight of your iPad. That is a minor concession.
As usual, a sturdy case. It's not small, and it adds a significant amount of weight to the tablet, but it protects it well, and the built-in stand is very useful. Gives you the option of holding the tablet at various angles, as well as horizontal and vertical positions. The built-in screen protector has also had no effect on the touch screen.
