The only thing I've noticed is that the USB ports make strange sounds before I even had it two months. Those who are not safe should not use this website. Buying is not a good idea.
A great looking space - You can save. Having both a usb c port and a usb a port is ideal, as I can charge my newer devices as well as charge my older devices. It is a brilliant idea to have AC outlets on both sides of the unit, and once inserted into your wall, it feels quite secure. The next one I'm going to buy will be a different area of my apartment.
Updated 12. 09. 2018. The original 1 star review was as follows It has only been less than 2 weeks since I have used this device, and the regular outlets work fine, but the USB ports don't work. However, the problem continues even after I have tried cleaning and plugging it in another outlet. Considering the USB ports were one of the reasons I chose this outlet splitter in the first place, that's pretty frustrating. The 4. 8 star rating has been updated to 5. 0 stars on Within a week or so of receiving the faulty one, I returned it. A replacement has come out which, so far, appears to be working correctly.
The rest of the day goes well. In just a few seconds, you can plug your apple brick into an outlet. Using the USB C cable directly on the unit is not worth it. Although it will charge, it will do so slowly. While it doesn't explicitly say MacBook, I am sure this cable is intended for phones using USB C rather than laptops. That is a small inconvenience. There is no way I could have taken off two stars, but it was just a point docked. Thanks to the new outlets and USB slots, our devices will be able to charge. One of its main highlights is its design. It sticks firmly to the outlet and doesn't come loose at all when put in place. This is a very good value for the money. There are three reasons to recommend it.
This surge protector matched the rating i was looking for since I could not find other surge protectors with it. There are many chargers out there, but this one has 1800 Joules. Furthermore, it allowed me to plug in a variety of power adaptors that usually take up a lot of outlet space. In this picture, you can see that I managed with a bit of fiddling to slide every single outlet into the protector even though it is one of my trickiest outlets in my apartment since it is in the corner and not readily accessible unless you use an extension cord. I was able to fit this surge protector in the corner and was able to plug in all the bulky adaptors. The outlets are generously sized, so even bulky adaptors do not interfere with each other (looking at you Apple adapters).
At its price point, it's an excellent surge protector with a wide range of outlets to help protect you from power surges. A sale for 18 was the price I paid for mine. It is normally 99US$, but I have seen other sales for less money.
I can charge all my devices with this cable. In the back of the extender there is a white plastic post that is meant to be inserted into the bottom outlet receptacle so that it will stand more solidly and securely. It appears some reviewers complained the plastic posts on the back of this outlet extender did not line up correctly when plugging it in, so they had to break them or cut them Similarly, I experienced this issue, but after I looked closely, I found that the plastic post is in the correct place for your standard When I tried to plug into the outlet I installed a few years ago, it was an upgraded outlet. My setup did not line up because there were two USB ports between the upper and lower outlet receptacles, so they were further apart than normal. There are some outlets even without the USB ports between the receptacles. I happened to have an extra normal cheap outlet left over from another project, so I just installed one of those and then this outlet extender fitted perfectly, however that plastic post did not fit tightly in that bottom socket. In the end, I wound up wrapping a little bit of electrical tape around the plastic post, making it fit nicely into This outlet extender does not have a screw to keep it in place, as some other do, so I was concerned it might pop out of a wall outlet when you removed a cord. I haven't had a problem with it staying plugged in or anything like It is definitely a product I would recommend!.
A surge protection feature appears to be falsely advertised on this device. On the nameplate of the device I received, I do not see any surge protection rating. SPDs rarely list transient surge voltage ratings, and I've never seen one like this before. According to the Amazon listing, it checks for properly-wired outlets, but I removed the ground connection by inserting a 3-prong - the result is that the device does not monitor this feature. The green light on the device was on even without a ground connection when the wall socket was connected directly to the device. By turning off their protected lights, other SPD devices in my inventory know when Ground is missing. It appears that the seller of this device has falsely advertised it. The device is scheduled to be returned.
