GE is an old name in the US electrical market, and has sold this product under the GE brand since the 1930s. The GE name is only used by license - the product comes from Jasco and is manufactured in China. As with many famous brand names such as Polaroid, Kodak and others, the GE name is only used by license. The fact that it is better made than most of the no-name stuff you find at the dollar store and it comes to you in nice packaging does not detract from the fact that it looks and feels much better than most of the junk. In any case, it has all those factors that make it a worthwhile purchase.
The concept is great, and it's an easy one to grasp. With three outlets, the extension cord has a length of 10 feet. That's really too bad that the manufacturers didn't consider this flaw that limits an otherwise excellent product to only conditional acceptable use.

It's a good idea to have at least 15' even if you don't need it because it is nice to have the extra length. As a whole, I would recommend it highly since it's a functional and great.
