I must have a faulty printer because I did not see an original HP cartridge even though the packaging looked like an original HP cartridge. I tried everything I could think of, but the cartridge would not work. My old ink cartridge had to be put back in until I could make it to Office Max and buy a new one. My printer is working fine again after I replaced the HP cartridge with one from Office Max. In my opinion, the one I ordered (and had to return) was a fake.

A few pages into the printout, the copies became grayscale, making them impossible to read. I paid for a cartridge for $8, so I think this is absurd. When I installed the cartridge in my printer, I threw away the packaging so I would be able to send it back.

It is not much better than other cartridges I have tried. Hence, the question comes down to deciding whether you want to buy expensive junk from HP or cheap junk from Valuetoner or some other remanufactured company. In case you're wondering, no The HP cartridges work exactly as expected, but you don't receive a low toner warning or error message.

My printer has just reported that it is out of ink after I installed this ink cartridge and printed just one page. One or more of the cartridges I received were dried out or defective. While I am unable to return the cartridge, I want other purchasers to be aware.

They work in HP printers at least, so they're better priced than what you can find locally. Purchasing ink that says it will be compatible with HP printers does not mean you will save anything. I have purchased several ink brands that claim to work in HP printers. Sometimes they do, but more often they do not and my HP printers reject them after they are only half used. There is a monopoly on HP's printing ink, and I think the US has made monoplies illegal when AT&T was a part of the US As a result of the depletion of T&M Bell and the willingness of other telecommmunications providers to compete, phone call prices became competitive and affordable, so now almost anyone can use the phone to talk with anyone else, no matter where they You can call the space ship orbiting Earth every once in a while, they enjoy receiving calls from us.

Copies were impossible since the ink did not work and I hardly ever copy at home. My work printer usually prints nothing, and now it's been several months and nothing at all prints from the black ink cartridge. Purchase this product at your own risk. The store is selling ink cartridges that are damaged or old. It seems the ink never worked, but I am afraid that I did not notice because I was frequently printing emails in the workplace. Would you be so kind as to place the item?.

". Eventually, I bought a new one at Walmart, and that one worked just fine so I know the printer was not the problem. Originally I received a new cartridge, which worked for a few days, then I started getting the same error message again. Ink cartridges from Target have now been replaced, and my printer is functioning again. Needless to say, these ink cartridges are faulty, and I won't be purchasing them online in the future.

In HP, there are three categories of products There have been at least eight class-action lawsuits involving them cheating customers by getting them to purchase ink cartridges more often than they needed. There has recently been a class action suit involving this cartridge and its compatible printer, where the printer uses colored ink rather than black when printing in black and white. It is set to white. (Wow) HP's printer lays down color ink and then prints black ink on top. It is for this reason that so many reviewers complain their colored ink runs out quickly when they print primarily in black and white It is set to white. This ink was removed from the market by B) in 2005.
