These ribbons arrived on time, well packaged to keep the ink from leaking or drying out like they're supposed to. I purchased them to install on my old typewriters. It was quite easy to install them on the old hardware. Both of my typewriters utilize older reel systems that are incompatible with the plastic spool systems provided. I was aware of this before installing them, but it wasn't a total headache to make it fit. In addition to winding one yarn onto the small metal spool of a 1941 Imperial Good Companion Model T, they also fit on the old Remington clip system (1936 Remington Noiseless Portable, first two pictures). reels are too big for the Imperial machine, but the ribbon length is still spot on as the older Imperial reels are thinner on the inside (see the third picture for the full length of reel wound onto a single Buy this product for the ribbon if you do not want to replace your metal spools with plastic ones, and then look up a video on how to re-use the ribbons Spools of old thread must be rethreaded. With a new supply of ink you can keep the old look! Thus far, I haven't noticed any colour bleeding from the ink. The ink is quite dark. *BR *BR The program works well on older computers, and I would recommend it.
It has finally been possible for me to use my typewriter's red text mode since I bought this ribbon. I loved how easy it was to install and how fresh it felt! A saturated and clear color can be seen. I am very impressed with how well this turned out. There is no doubt that I will purchase.
As a result of the dryness of the ink and ribbon, I was disappointed. It would have been suitable for return, except we had to take the ribbon off the original spools and put it onto a 1942 typewriter's spool. In our experience, I was hoping for this product to be good. Unfortunately, it hasn't been good for us.
It was needed to fit my 1944 L. I needed a universal 1/2 inch bichrome ribbon. This is a Smith typewriter that I just thrifted and fixed, and there were no problems with the reviews My existing spools worked just fine with this ribbon! It was easy to remove from the spools and then reinstall on my existing spools. All the components were nicely packed and there was no bleeding of ink or a As a Veteran myself, I was thrilled to be able to support his mission Business owned and operated by a small business owner. Your product is amazing! I appreciate it so much.
It works great with my Smith Corona Coronet 10 - I would highly recommend it The spool came out of the spool after I put it on and had to take it off because it stuck to the spindle and I had to pull it off and re-insert it. The idea of putting the new ribbon on the old spools has crossed my mind and I still may do so. My old metal spools are definitely going to stay.
There is a great deal of prep work put into the ribbons. They fit well, and the black and red strike really well. The spools are universal, so they can be used on virtually any spool. Also, the end stop grommet is affixed nicely and enables the reversal arm to move along comfortably. I would say this is overall a good quality ribbon that helps me achieve my purpose. The only criticism I have is that the red and black seam on the center line is blurry which creates ambiguity when using the underscore, but that is fairly common with ribbons, and I could just have an issue with my "6" key's strike angle.
As most of my correspondence comes from my correspondents, I use a Brother printer from the late 70's quite often. When I put it on right away without reaching for my typewriter papers, I had to give it a try. My handwriting is on a card. It has a very strong color, but looks like a ribbon! With the plastic case used on the 70's typewriter machine, it's an excellent product. I tried it also inside my 30's Remington typewriter machine and it worked, as well. In the ribbon of my 30's Remington I need the yellow colour as well and it's I can now see the difference between that ribbon and the others after installing it on my Brother. There is a model that fits many machines in fact. There will be no disappointment for you. In addition, we must acknowledge As a rule, when I buy a product, I want to purchase it from one company I am satisfied with. OK, so we'll see. As well as ribbons for NeXT, I will purchase them from them. For a very good price, this is a '5' star product!.
Several years ago, I purchased this ribbon for a typewriter that I bought My only complaint is that the packaging could have been better. The ribbon was perfect, well inked. There was basically just a ribbon in a flimsy plastic bag. Since there was no box, it could easily be torn apart.
