I bought this item as it was the best value for an affordable privacy screen that could fit a 27" Monitor with a screen size of 17 inches. There is nothing more to it than that. What you think isn't what it is. Darkens the screen just by placing a piece of film over it. No privacy is added. In my job, we have Hippa laws on all of our computers, so we keep films on them. The items had to be sent back and I had to order from a company that states that There is just one difference between this piece of vinyl film and the Hippa-compliant ones, which have small horizontal lines, in order to prevent viewing from the side. I don't think vinyl can be used to block viewing, just to darken the screen just to make it look darker.

Rather than act as a privacy screen, this acts as a glare protector. From behind the user's head, I understand that you can see through them, but from what angle do you see them from? My screen was across the aisle in another cubicle, and I was able to see every detail as if it were someone walking by my cubicle, and the only way that the brightness was reduced was by lowering It may not be a good buy if you are looking for privacy, but if you are going to work in a bright office this will protect you from glare. The fit is excellent, but the privacy is not.

There is an advertising claim in the web page's headline and bullet points that states that the product is a privacy filter as well as a UV and Blue Screen filter! While I am not sure about the UV filter, I definitely do not believe it has a BLUE LIGHT filter! I find this to be false advertising!.

Obviously, it depends on what you need it for. For example, I ordered one so I could have some privacy in my office because there are no walls. A coworker of mine has a pair that only she can see very well. (My guess was that it would be darker in the center. ) If you are directly behind someone, you can't hide what goes on behind you, but if someone is right in front of you, you can't hide a thing. Therefore, I recommend it if the glare factor is important to you. If you're concerned about privacy, it would probably be better to find something else.
