Questions & Answers

The Nintendo Switch is compatible with this?

A total of ten crashes per ten minutes occur when using the 256. After reading this thread, I was hoping that it would work, but then it crashed every ten minutes, claiming the switch had been moved or removed when it actually had not been moved at all. I lost $40 here. Do not

What do you think of this as overkill for a regular smartphone?

There is 128GB of storage on my phone, but it is always getting full, so I finally got a 128GB SD card. I haven't transferred anything on the card for a long time, and it seems to have been damaged. A couple weeks ago, I sent a bunch of pictures/documents to the card and set it up to automatically save photos. Everything I transferred ended up damaged, so I can think of nothing other than an exclamation point for the experience. Despite its cheap price, it's a nice SD card. The 256 MB or even this size is not overkill for me, I take a lot of photos, screencasts, and download a lot of documents, so I don't think it's overkill. As soon as I have the 256 GB, which I plan on getting, I'll transfer everything I can to it, in order to keep my phone effective and running smoothly. Remember to buy SD cards that are not cheap!

What if I want to use this on a Samsung S6?

According to what I can gather, there is no way to expand the memory in the Samsung S6. Your phone will not work with this card unless it is a special version of some sort.

I think it's a winner! There is no better Micro SD card than the Samsung Evo Select series
5/5

This product is reliable, and they are able to live up to the speed and capacity measurements they claim. Since I've been using Samsung cards for so long, this 32GB card has not given me any issues.

I use them consistently and they're reliable. The card is formatted by default to FAT32, but I prefer exFAT for moving large folders. FAT32 will not let you transfer folders containing more than 4GB to the card. That can be inconvenient if you are moving from one card to another. The limitations of FAT32 are 4GB on single files, but it treats a directory with many files in one go as a single file, and applies the 4GB file size limit to that. There will be an error message (in Windows anyway) saying that there isn't enough space available to accomplish this. In any case, if you copy the files individually, it should work fine. Or just format the card to exFAT, then it will accept a file whose size exceeds 4GB. You should have at least a 1. Some earlier versions of the card may have issues with the exFAT format)

This card can handle full HD video at 60 frames per second without fail. HD video works fine with its write speeds.

Just make sure that it's a genuine Samsung card with the stated capacity when it arrives. The low cost and ease with which it is done make micro SD cards a favorite thing for fraudsters. There was a time when the regular Samsung Evo line of cards (the white and orange colored ones) were the most popular counterfeits. As higher grade cards (Evo Select line with white and green color schemes) are becoming more popular, they're finding ways to increase their popularity. Well, it is prudent for anyone purchasing a new SD card to confirm its authenticity upon receiving it. Over the previous solid colors, the grey 2 tone fade of the green color increases the anti-counterfeiting measures. harder to counterfeit a Samsung card which costs $1. Fraudulent card makers will take such a card, hack the control chip that says the capacity of the card, so your computer will believe that the card is much larger and will even attempt to save well over 4GB of data. You would like to put a bucket labeled with a 100 gallon size on a 10 gallon one. In other words, you can pour 100 gallons into it, but 90 of those gallons will just flow out over the top and be lost forever. The steps below can help you be sure that you are getting a genuine Samsung card. It means the actual card itself is white. You can see the white plastic on the sides of the card behind the colorful label on the front. Almost always, fake cards are black, due to the fact that they are low cost, generic cards that are given fancy Samsung-looking labels. The card you are getting is not a Samsung if it's black on the sides. Plastic made out of white is more expensive, so fraudsters go for the cheapest way to do it. In the image below, you can see a real Samsung card with white sides and back (the back should be black). You should buy your shirt from reputable vendors. The sides should be white. The front should be colored with a 2 tone fade. It is a reliable vendor to deal with Amazon. You can return it if there is a problem with it no questions asked. You may also find dozens of other trusted 3rd party vendors. If you do purchase from one of these, ensure that you are buying from a reputable seller. Please read the feedback left by the seller. In case of numerous complaints from people who bought fake capacity cards or cards that didn't work, you will need to find a different seller. Check the listing to ensure the information is correct. The card I'm using here is fine. It has the Samsung logo on top and is genuine (I tested it personally). But scammers will post similar listings on Amazon that are nearly identical but do not have the Samsung logo. (Another scammer replaced Samsung with Sanshen on the fake cards recently. They did not differ in any way apart from that. The Samsung A doesn't have the bar in the middle, but the rest of the fonts are the same)

Be cautious. If the price of the card you are thinking about is considerably less than When scammers try to trick you to look at the price tag more than other things on the listing, they will usually make it WAY lower than it should be in order to trick you into looking at the price tag instead of looking other things that don't seem to add up. A flash drive that is unusually cheap almost never works out well.

Test it before It doesn't matter who you buy your Micro SD card from or what brand it is. Just test it before you buy it. Using a utility app called "h2testw" allows you to test it thoroughly. Get it for free on the web. You can find it via any search engine. In order to make sure the data on the drive is readable, it writes single bit data to it until it is full, then it reads it back. Your computer will let you know how much actual space is on the disk. It is configured with the German language by default, but you can easily switch it to English. Running it overnight and checking the results the next morning will make it efficient enough. It takes about 45 minutes to test a 32GB card and several hours to test a 256GB card. Even when you are certain that the product you possess is authentic Samsung (or any other brand name), it is wise to do this anyway. Sometimes things go wrong with manufacturing and quality control, and you end up with a counterfeit. You can use an application like h2testw to test whether your brand name card is legitimate. When you still have your 30 day exchange window open, you will still know right away if it's not approved.

In terms of write speeds, only the 256GB and 512GB versions are rated at 90MB/s
5/5

According to a user review, the Samsung EVO Select 128GB has a 60MB/s write speed rating. If you look at the "From the manufacturer" part of the product description, you will see that it is rated for write speeds of up to 20MB/s. It should be noted that all the cards have a reading speed of up to 100MB/s.

Just wanted to clarify this. Although I'm not a fan of how Amazon combines the reviews of multiple versions of the same products into one big confusing mess, that's just how it is. *For the most part, this card is great and exactly what I was expecting!.

It is highly recommended to be cautious when buying SD cards online
5/5

One way I verified the authenticity of this listing was to check the merchant during the order review process, my order stated, "Amazon. ". My last test was the speed and storage test, everything checked out as far as I can tell, but my performance was a little slower than I expected; however, this could be attributed to my very old laptop.
Reading speed: 22 MB/s Max. 8. 4 MBytes/s
Reading The seller should show up as "Amazon" in order for this listing to have any credibility. I am a representative of Com.

Can you explain why the new version is only 60M? New version of the program was only 60 M, but the old version of the program was over 90 M?

In the course of 7 months of use, the disk became corrupted
3/5

In just over a year from the time I bought it, it became corrupted. Since I am a normal user of the phone, I don't tend to mess with the SD card. I let it sit in my phone and don't ever remove it. So since I had no choice (my internal drive is 32GB on a Samsung S7 Edge), I ordered this as well. It's corrupted again (purchased November 2017 and corrupted June 2018), this time after only 8 months of use. How am I supposed to proceed? Contacting Samsung support is easy, but how can I reach them?.

Recently, it seems a few people have had bad ones
3/5

Installed it on the phone and it died days later. In reading the reviews, it appears to be an occasional occurrence. The replacement may.

Fits the Nintendo Switch perfectly
5/5

You can get a lot of value for the money for this card, which I consider to be the best value around. It's enough for my Switch, which I own a bunch of games on, and I still have about half the space left after buying so many games. The card also has the same reading and writing speeds as the Sandisk Nintendo micro SD cards, and those cards cost at most $100 and only go up to 256GB. It is one of the better deals for micro SD cards right now and we strongly recommend it.
