Questions & Answers
A minimum write speed of 500 Mbps is achieved, whereas the maximum write speed is 1000 Mbps. Based on my research into this, I can say that the minimum write speed indicates what the sustained write speed may be, or at least, if it will not fall below that. Many companies, however, do not list required minimum write speeds.
Downloading directly from your R5 to a computer is possible (assuming the correct cable is available). The Canon utility is required for downloading large files like video, but you can also download RAW and JPEG files outside of the Canon software. To make certain that the reader you get is compatible with CFExpress Type B, you should make sure it is. Each reader is not compatible with every other reader.

I tried several times but failed in my attempt to download the full 256GB CFexpress card to Lightroom. The Angelbird agents reached out and sent a prepaid UPS label as soon as they heard from me. In the end, they were able to recover my photos and mail me a new card. I later realized that both Windows and the Mac occasionally have problems with CFexpress cards, so the problem may have actually been with the cards. With regards to Angelbird customer service, I can say that you can't beat it and I look forward to using.
A video card like this is my workhorse when it comes to RAW video. There are no limits with this camera. It shoots 8k 12 bit RAW at 20fps and 45MP at 20fps. In spite of the high bitrate I have thrown at it, this card is up for the task. The second angelbird card I have now purchased after having data issues with another brand and reading glowing reviews of this brand. After numerous months of extensive usage, I have yet to experience card lag or failure - I highly recommend these cards to anyone who uses them If you need the high, high write speed, this is a highly recommended product.
At the beginning, I had a Lexar 128gb card that became bad (corrupted Only a partial refund was provided by Lexar, no replacement. About $80 more expensive than the Lexar, this card (256gb) comes with 128 GB. I have had no problems with it so far.
I got this one on sale and I'm very happy with its performance. I was also able to record the ultra high bit rate 4K without any buffering at all with my EOS R5. However, I have not tried the 8K yet (and probably won't ever do so) but for my needs, it is ideal.
With my Canon R5, I tried both these cards and neither of them would read them on my MacBook nor It was necessary to return both of them. As if that weren't bad enough, Amazon lost one of the returns, leaving me to pay the full amount. My photography business has been operated through Amazon Prime for a long time, and I've been disappointed with the lack of excellent customer service. I'll cancel Prime and support my local camera stores instead.
A purchase made to replace XQD in the D500. XQD does not have the full buffer like I do with D500, which is why I have two other CFexpress cards. A card like this performs in the same manner as XQD with a buffer that is virtually unlimited.
