Logitech Wireless Keyboard K270 with Long-Range Wireless

My expectations of the new K270 were way too high, so I was very disappointed with it. It's clear Logitech switched manufacturers with the quality being so drastically reduced, both products are made in China, so the location itself is not the problem. There is no doubt that the Chinese can make highly sophisticated technological devices of the highest quality. While the USB receiver is literally one foot away, wireless connectivity is sporadic and cuts in and out as if it were a dead battery. This is a very frustrating experience for us all. A Logitech product used to provide flawless performance for many years. A few of the items I've purchased for the last two years have failed. In the past, I bought their top of the line items, knowing they would last me at least three years, if not ten. Despite how expensive their stuff was, I stopped buying it because it was no longer durable. I can't stand cheap stuff like this keyboard because it doesn't even work well out of the box and within six months is losing connections every time I use During its first two years of use, it can't type a sentence without missing letters and dropping connections for seconds at a time. The Vitalitim wireless keyboard I'm using worked right out of the box, and there were no hassles and no software to install. It works smoothly, is very light, and is extremely In addition to the K270, I have to ditch all my other logitech mice, universal remotes, headphones, and other devices since they have been broken up for a while. Having worked with Logitech since the early 2000s, I can attest that the software is a hassle that adds little value. The build quality is poor as well.

It disappointed me to find that the wireless K270 keyboard has been replaced by the conventional old-fashioned keyboard. I started out fine with the Logitech K270. I was able to use it on my lap and my Logitech wireless trackball (which is fantastic) on my arm rest. But after about two months and after the warranty and customer service window expired, I can literally hit a key and it would take me five seconds to do something (and I know I'm using the word literally). No matter where I was, it happened whether I was using word processing, emails, or another application. My keyboard is OK, but I will send it back. There is not much room between the space bar and the housing around the keys, so the space bar sits very low.
