Questions & Answers

Is it correct that this cable can carry more power than a USB 3 cable? I have a pos thunderbolt drive that requires additional power from the micro b side. ?

This - a USB 3. 1 cable. Type- Micro-C and C B SuperSpeed (this is a misnomer.) Micro-formats and macro-formats are linked because micro-formats and macro-formats B SuperSpeed is a micro-advanced version of B SuperSpeed. B, which has 5 extra pins and can be used with a microcontroller. In a micro-controller, a B cable is used. B SuperSpeed port, but keep in mind that this cable has a micro-USB connector. It's a B Superspeed connector. cannot- to be used in a micro-environment Types of connectors include (A port, B port, C port, D port, and E There are also power standards for ports, but they are less common than type-specific standards. The C standard allows for more current, but you'll be limited by the microprocessor's lower limit. b SuperSpeed port.br>Thunderbolt, on the other hand, is a completely different format. It has 20 connectors as opposed to the micro-controller's ten. B SuperSpeed, so I don't see how you'd be able to use this cable.

Will this work with a Seagate Backup Slim Plus and a MacBook Pro 2020?

I used it with a MacBook Pro and an external hard drive that wasn't a Seagate, but I believe it would work fine if it had the same type of port.

Is this the cable that connects the nano s ledger to the computer?

The NANO S does not have a USB micro connector, but it does come with micro to A and micro to C cables.

Will this charge a Sandisk Extreme 1TB USB-C ssd? c) from a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone (via USB 3.0). 0 micro b) to transfer, edit, and view files?

hello. I'm not sure, but it seems to have some clout - while data is being transferred - a 2TB hard drive, similar to the one in your MacBook Pro's Sandisk.

The problem was the same in both of them - Disconnects occur frequently
3/5

I bought this cable, like many others, to connect my external hard drive to the USB port on my motherboard. Unfortunately, the first cable I purchased would disconnect and reconnect every time I tried to use it. After you've used it for a while, you'll notice that you're always connected. I received a replacement cable from Amazon very quickly, but it had the same problem as the original. I finally gave up and ordered a Cable Matters one, and I haven't had any problems in the last few days.

Improved read/write speeds are available! On a 2017 Macbook 12, I used the Blackmagic Data Speed Test iOS app to compare read and write speeds
5/5

"br>br>I compared this cable to the Micro-USB cable provided by the manufacturer. A USB-B cable (included with my 1TB Seagate Drive) with a USB-A port I've attached the C adapter (which I bought separately). br>br>As you can see, this cable produces better results! I only have to worry about one cable now, as opposed to having to track down both the cable and the adapter previously.

USB- It's far too easy to remove the C connector
3/5

The cable has a large memory capacity. It has a specific shape that it wants to keep. In addition, the USB-based C end is a little easier to remove from the socket than other USB-connected devices. I've used C connectors, which means that if I move the attached device, it can come out far enough to lose the connection. EDIT: I'm changing my mind about the USB-C connector. To say it comes out far too easily, I'll use the letter C connector. It frequently falls out with the smallest of movements. I'm not even yanking on it. It'll literally fall out if you just wiggle it a little. The stars have been reduced from two to one.

Excellent future-oriented solution- old hard drives need to be proofed! I recently purchased a 2018 MacBook Pro and now require dongles/cables in order to connect my old peripherals (specifically, my external hard drive) to the USB-C port
4/5

On the laptop, there are C ports. br>br>I love this cable because it allows me to connect the Micro-USB to the computer. My external drive's B port is connected to a USB-C port on my computer. My MacBook's C port is directly connected to the USB port, so there's no need for a USB hub. A to USB- Dongles with the letter C. I did, however, use this cable and an old USB-C hub to run a speed test with Blackmagic's read/write speed utility. From A to Micro- When using the Amazon cable over the USB-B cable, I noticed a slight loss of speed. A cable that came with the hard drive; it's a minor inconvenience for me because I only use my external drive for photo editing, but if you're into video, you might want to look into other options.

It appears to be of high quality
5/5

There are two things you should be aware of! br>br>With the Dell Precision 7530 Thunderbolt 3 ports, if you are not extremely careful to insert the Micro B end into the HDD exactly straight, the computer will "brick"! The computer will recover with (hopefully) no damage after 5 to 60 minutes. br>br>Connect the Micro B end PRIOR to connecting the USB-A end. Everything is fine with the computer. br>br>A few companies sell faulty cables that can completely destroy laptops and smartphones. Purchase a USB drive that has been certified. If you don't have IF cables, you'll have to take a chance. "Benson Leung, the Google engineer who moonlights as a tester of dodgy USB Type-A devices," for example, can be found on the internet. Sadly, C cables has completed his final act of tech vigilantism—at least for the time being. When putting the Surjtech 3M USB A- to-B cable through its paces, His Chromebook Pixel laptop and two USB PD (power delivery) analysers were both fried by a faulty C cable. ", according to arstechnica. combr>br>I've only used them a few times, but they appear to be well-made, though the wire has a large OD. Longevity is probably a plus, but it's a pain to carry around.

StarTech USB 3 is highly recommended
5/5

Cable of excellent quality. Because they used heavily shielded wiring, which is required for a high-quality 10 Gbs cable, they were thicker than other cables. Macrium imaging of the system disk was reduced to an external SSD in USB 3. By seven minutes in a Gen 2 UASP enclosure. It's also a good length. Don't squander your money on a low-cost USB 3. 0 device. 5 Gps USB 3. 0 with 1 cable 0 cables. Your external device will act erratically and operate at a slower rate. br>br>StarTech USB 3. 0 is highly recommended. One Gen 2 enclosure is available. At a reasonable price, you get maximum speed.

It really works
5/5

This is how I connect my WD Passport 2TB external hard drive to my MacBook Pro, which then feeds the music through my DJ software (Serato DJ), out to the mixer, and finally to the speakers. Data transfer is unaffected by lag or hiccups. Connecting to newer MBPs with a dongle is a much better solution.

It's compatible with my external hard drive (details below)
5/5

I decided to write my own review after reading a few others. I bought it to see if it would improve the speed of my WD 14TB Elements Desktop Hard Drive when transferring media and games files. I do get faster speeds than the standard USB 3. 0 port. 0 by as much as 30% Although 40Mbs is not a lot, it is still faster than the standard one. I didn't see any other posts on the subject, so I figured it might be of use to someone who is unsure. I have it connected to my MSI B550 motherboard's onboard C port, and I hope this information is useful to anyone looking for answers as to whether or not this cable affects file transfer speeds. The cable is well-made by Amazon and is 3' long. br>I've mounted the WD 14TB Elements Desktop Hard Drive on top of my computer case, which has two fans blowing air out. This keeps the external drive significantly cooler than if there is no air flow. So I'm getting around 205 points. Thank you Amazon for making this great USB-C drive with a transfer speed of 208Mbs versus 168Mbs. C adapter, I hope this helps some of you who are looking for that answer; for the price and the extra speed, it's definitely worth it, in my opinion.
