Logitech MX ERGO Wireless Trackball

It's not a good idea to purchase The trackball is exceptionally comfortable when tilted with the optional extra tilt pad attached. A trackball I have used before did not do as good a job tracking the pointer onscreen as it does here. There are a lot of buttons, but they are placed awkwardly. It's not possible to tap without moving the entire hand to place the thumb or fingers over every single one. I didn't expect the battery to last as long as it did. The new software, Logitech Options, does not function as it should. There is a lot of confusion with the settings. This is not letting me sign on to the account (I have carefully reset my password and have logged into all my Logitech accounts in the the virus outbreak started, but have not heard back. My Logitech gear has been in use for a long time, but since prices have gone up, I was not expecting quality to be that poor or customer service to be so bad It is real. Although I would like to return this item, I bought it too long ago to do so. A wireless trackball such as the ERGO MX is not a device I recommend purchasing.
Now, months after the next update, I am still unable to log into my account on Options. A second time, customer service has not responded. A new Logitech keyboard was in order after using an older model for about 10 years or so. Originally, I was going to purchase the M575 but I decided to spend the extra money for this Ergo one and I am extremely glad It may have also been the fact that I already had the software for the older logitech model that made the process SO simple. Adding the little receiver to my iMac and turning on the trackball brought me up to speed in no time. A few settings were changed by me and they were super simple. Even the button under the scroll wheel was customized with a customized command. As the scroll wheel has three buttons (left, right and down), I assigned the left and right buttons as raising and lowering the screen brightness and the down button as a custom screen capture icon. The button that slows the roll of the cursor is another great idea. If I use it, it is super helpful, but I don't use it a lot. Having an extra angle to put the trackball at makes my wrist a lot more comfortable. If I do not have it, I am unlikely to use Unlike my old one, my new one does not have a place for the little receiver thing under the trackball. However, maybe that is due to the strong magnets that are part of the setup for the angle plate. Because I do not travel with my trackball, I am not bothered by this.
