To update the firmware in a ham radio transceiver meant updating the firmware. My computer would not recognize the radio even though I tried using the cable and interface provided by the radio manufacturer. I don't have an RS-232 port on my computer The computer does not have a RS-232 interface (few do now), so I had to find a USB to 9-pin converter The serial interface on the OIN. I found this one to be easy to install and it was effective. My only issue was that the 9 pin connector is a male one, and I needed one that is female. The gender of the person I dated was compatible with mine A 4 foot long converter cable is on hand. I bought it with the changer. The bottom line is that this cable is excellent and sturdy. It is recommended.
It's true, I can get rid of one of my old laptops that I've only kept due to a DB9 serial port. With this cable, I have less clutter everywhere. I'm not sure how else to put it. I have nothing fancy to say. Although I don't get hit on more often, my abs don't get more ripped, and my hairline continues to recede, it seems to work for me.
In addition to USB to serial cables, there are two types of serial cables. Typically, there are two types of connectors those with all pins wired correctly, and those that only link the pins necessary to connect In my case, I was a ham operator who wired the Serial end to a circuit board that needed the DTR and RTS features I was able to make it work with this cable, so apparently every pin is I'm glad you found that out.
If it doesn't fit and interferes with neighboring ports, it may not work! You cannot run out of money unless you have enough left over The serial port adapter will not be able to fit and interfere with neighboring ports or the device's housing if it does not have the right clearance. It's unfortunate that you're going through this. It would be helpful if you posted the actual physical dimensions for the blue plastic encasement for the serial port in the product description to avoid other customers experiencing the same problem. A dimension should be posted in S, as it goes without saying. Units of measurement It is acceptable to include custom units, but they cannot be the only option.
This was made to connect to some PC Home automation components ( ADI Adicon 2500 Ocelot, and Adicon 2500 RX8 CPU ) that are still useful-but developed before USB and necessary RS232 connectivity most motherboards lack today. I was able to get my accessories drivers and software to work once I identified the comm ports. I was going for the As a side note, Windows 10 installs driver needs without a problem. I am happy with the choice I made.
Because it was Chinese-looking, I was unsure whether I should purchase it. So far, I have not experienced any problems with this cable and it works as I need it to. I had to install the software that came with the cable so the USB port would connect to the correct COM line. In the future, I will purchase this product again.
It has been running for quite some time now (I think more than a few months now) with no complaints on my part. In the old adapters my client was using from RadioShack, he had barely enough power to charge As a result of building them a new computer, the old adapter stopped working completely. Our old adapter was replaced with this new one and it works perfectly.
I am eternally grateful for this.
