My Bose Wave Radio II was purchased in 2004 or so, and it is still in excellent condition. Unfortunately, even at minimum speed, modern computers with CD writers burn discs too quickly for this older radio to read. I experimented with various CD-ROM formats. I'd used up all of my CD-ROMs and was ready to move on. I noticed in my DVD/CD writer that there are R options for CD-R. It can write at a rate of up to 4X on RW discs, which is significantly slower than CD-RW. R discs. I jumped at the opportunity and am glad I did. Using these as one-time use discs is more than enough for my needs, even though I have no intention of rewriting over the existing data. If I find any issues, I'll update the review, but for now, everything appears to be in order.
What an amazing idea! CDs that can be erased. So far, I've used about a quarter of a dozen of these and have yet to come across a coaster. I attempted to record on three different disks from this set - One at the top, one in the middle, and one near the bottom all recorded the first few songs fine, but the disks began to develop an increasingly bad issue with a "scuffing" sound behind the music and skipping after that. I'm so disappointed, and it's been a complete waste of time, that I'm going to have to discard every single disk. For nothing, I thank you.
