Yes. They're going to work. In fact, that is EXACTLY what I do with them. When I use BURN PLAYLIST TO DISC in itunes and choose AUDIO CD, my playlist burns perfectly to a cd that I can play on both my computer and my CD player. In addition, I always choose 1x (slow) PREFERRED SPEED for the best QUALITY burning. It takes a little longer to burn, but the burn quality is better.

Hello Cynthia, I have a Dell PC and an Asus laptop, both running Windows 7. On both computers, I can format, but not in a timely manner. These were purchased with the intention of making some home cds. They worked perfectly for that, and they also have the capability of storing data.
I'm running Windows 10 and I'm using the media player. I attempted to burn music to these discs, but they refused to do so. DISAPPOINTED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT. Yes, I tried formatting them first, as well as trying without formatting. They are completely ineffective! Beware.
The first CD RW is still being worked on. However, I've used Memorex blanks before and had no problems with the recordings; the test is to see how many recordings I can get from a single CD. RW before it starts to go wrong.

I've previously ordered a few of these spindles and have been very happy with them. I could usually get at least five or six burn/erase cycles before scratching or read/write errors appeared. This performance was unlike any other. I'm only getting one or two cycles before the errors begin to appear. I'm getting a lot of scratches, and I'm not treating them any differently than the other orders. So far, I've liked the brand a lot, but I'm going to steer clear for a few months because, at this rate, it would be much cheaper for him to just buy standard disks and discard them after each burn. Things should, hopefully, get better in the future. EDIT: br>br> It's hard to believe, but in my first review, I was a little too complimentary. I only got one write/read cycle from half of the disks in the last ten. As far as I can tell, they're scratching their heads in the spindle. On the last few, I switched to my other computer just to make sure it wasn't my hard drive that was causing the problem. The problem is the same. For me, this is now a one-star product. It's difficult to dismiss a company based on a single $15 purchase, but I've wasted so much time on this archive disaster that I'm willing to do so. Memorex has been used to complete this task. Unless the disks have physically fractured in the drive and caused hardware damage, I couldn't be more dissatisfied with a set of disks.
The capacity was nowhere near what it claimed to be. br>I don't have the discs with me right now, but they're supposed to be 7xx MB in size. br>The ones I got had 560 MB of storage (I'm guessing). I'm sure it wasn't less than 540MB)br>br>I only needed 640MB of space, so I bought these, knowing that I wouldn't get the capacity that was advertised, but confident that they would be enough to store my file. br>Unfortunately, I was wrong. br>br>Had to purchase an entire new pack of larger discs. br>Waste of my money in the extreme. br>Now that I store all of my media on Flash Drives and backup HD's, I have no use for these discs. br>br>Amazon, on the other hand, had no problems getting it to me on time and in good condition. br>br>2 Stars for falsely claiming a larger capacity, but not 1 Star because the product was in excellent condition and appears to work properly. br>br>*The 640MB file was an ISO image I was burning to the disc, otherwise I would have simply split up the files*.
The spindle pack is something I'm interested in. It simplifies and cleans up CD handling. br>br>Moreover, the 25-pack is ideal for backing up all of my files and folders. It's also convenient to have an external hard drive. When a tornado warning is issued, however, this is what I bring to the basement. After I finish preparing my pet carriers, I'll move on to the CDs. br>br>There is, in fact, another reason. My computer had been hacked a little over two years ago. The computer refused to recognize my external HD after it was cleaned (not swiped), checked, and repaired. My computer company and the HD company were both unable to assist me in resolving the issue. I'm glad I had my CDs to recover the data from the previous hard drive. I didn't expect any problems with the external hard drive because it was only a couple of years old. Well . br>br>As a result, I now make CD backups of everything. first.
