It is sturdy and exactly what I wanted. As part of a new workplace policy, all attendees are required to take advantage of our webcams in meetings, but my previous webcam was positioned in front of my monitor, obscuring part of my screen. The problem is that I do not have much desk space, so I needed something that would sit just behind the monitor and allow me to see over the monitor without being blocked by the camera. I've tested it, and it's working fine. This is a good and sturdy extension, but the extension portion can be bent or adjusted depending on your needs. After you arrange the extension piece, there is an additional ball on the top that you can use to adjust the camera's posture (or not, as you wish) if you want. When everything is put together, the base is very heavy, so it holds everything in place. The total number of adjustments is much greater than what I personally require, so it would cover a much broader range of needs than my simple application, and it seems like it would stay in place no matter what you do to.

The Logitech Brio I recently bought is not compatible with this webcam stand since it does not have a hole for the webcam to fit into. In the book, it is stated to be compatible with the Brio, but this is not the case. EDITOR'S NOTE The Brio is compatible with the webcam, but the bottom part of the webcam must be removed first. It looks odd for the WebCam to be placed above the monitors since my monitors are large. When I tried to mount a tripod on the desk, it fell over and couldn't go up very far. My search is over. I've found what I've been I like the fact that it can be adjusted for height on my desk and that it is a big and sturdy piece. The monitors are perfectly positioned between the two.
